    I too find them annoying. I'd turn off profile pics if I could, too. Just the words, ma'am!

    That is probably why MFP chose to remove them. I agree the forums are cleaner and more concise without the tickers. They are motivational for many people including myself. I would like to see the tickers return, perhaps not as tall.
