Bananas are not bad for you. They have potasium and are good for you if eaten at the right time. (right after a workout) .

Bananas are good for us when eaten at any time of the day…

I am happy someone finally asked this. You should never eat a yellow banana, it must have brown spots before you eat it. A yellow banana is pure starch and will bind you. A brown spot banana is fully ripe, is pure carb, is full of vitamins and will fill you up. Now you know!

What I learned about bananas this week; the guy in front of me at checkout had green bananas and was 90 years old. He is an optimist, true story.

Am not sure if you are serious.

Surely not, as that is just silly - a banana doesn't magically change properties just because it is bit riper than it used to be.

I feel like every time someone asks 'is food X bad for you?' that I need to ask them what their diet philosophy is. If you're low carb or you subscribe to the 'sweet poison' idea then it's bad. If you are IIFYM then the answer is no, unless you have no calories left in the day.

I sometimes half a banana with someone. that way I still get some potassium and reduce the sugar/carb

I also get organic bananas, which really are a few cents more, and I find those ones are quite small compared to the the 'regular' bananas.

Also best to eat them when they are just turning yellow. As they ripen, they become much sweeter
