My meals tend to be around 300 max and snacks 50-100.0
-
all depends... my breakfast and lunch are pretty close together so I don't usually have snack till afternoon..0
-
I like to stick around 300cals for break/lunch/dinner and then around 100 for snacks. ETA: today is an off day due to exercise.
for today:
break=260
snack=270
lunch=224
snack=326
dinner=641
snack=2020 -
Breakfast = 200
Lunch = 300
Dinner = 600
Leaves me about 200 left over for snacks, desert or a little bit more for one meal0 -
500 for breakfast, 400 for lunch, and 300 for dinner. Whatever calories I earn back for working out I use as a snack.0
-
Roughly 300 each for breakfast and lunch, 100 each for morn and afternoon snacks, and about 500 for dinner.0
-
Breakfast is usually around 350, snacks are around 150-200 each (morning and afternoon), and lunch is in the 300-400 range. Once that's all done, dinner will depend on what's left but typically around 600. I shoot for 1750 a day.0
-
I try to keep my breakfast and lunch under 300 calories, and my snacks under 100 calories each. I like to have a substantial dinner so depending on how many calories I've had during the day I can usually afford about 800 calories at dinner.0
-
It varies but usually breakfast is around 400-500 calories, lunch is around 400-600 and dinner is around 100-200. I tend to have 1-2 snacks per day which are around 150-200.
Yesterday I had:
Breakfast: 407
Lunch: 664
Dinner: 121
Snacks: 1880 -
Breakfast plus mid morning snack... around 500 calories
Lunch plus afternoon snack... around 600 calories
Dinner plus evening snack... around 1200 calories

During the week, since I have to eat lunch at the office, I usually have larger breakfasts (400 cals) and dinners (about 400 cals) and a small lunch (300 cals, max), with few 150 cals snacks during the day (more or less).
At the week end, when I know I'll eat bigger main meals - I have a very light breakfast and no snacks, or very small snacks. This is to counter-balance my mum's cooking on Sunday and pizza, or dinner out with friends on Saturday.0 -
Thank you for all your replies! I've been thinking of the "Eat more during the day, less at night" thing. A lot of sources say to have a big breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner but I find that difficult. I have no appetite in the morning so I eat a small breakfast, medium lunch & big dinner. I don't know if I could eat a 100-200 cal dinner
Right now I've been having what seems like low cal snacks all day instead of 3 meals and 2 snacks. I wanted to seehow others split up their daily allowance of calories.0 -

I would just do what works for you. If you feel like having most of your calories in the evening, (I know most people do), then just do that. As long as you're not going over your calories than you should still lose weight.0 -
9am - 350
1pm - 350
3pm - 350
5pm- 250
8pm- 350
10pm - 250

This is a super old thread I found when searching this topic. Bump becuase i am really interested...0

Breakfast: 450
Snack: 200
Lunch: 500
Snack: 200
Dinner: 600
Snack: 200
I am a recovered anorexic at a very healthy weight for about a half a year now. Anything less than 450 is not a meal but a snack, so I've been told. Anything less than 200 calories is a frivolous spontaneous munch. Feed your bodies, guys. 1200 is total starvation. You will get sick or gain it back because you are starving yourself, not meeting your needs, and your body will force you to compensate.

I avoid snacking. Just my thing. Not that it never happens, but I avoid it.
So:
Breakfast: 300-350 calories
Lunch: 500-550 calories
Dinner: 600-650 calories
Basically, I try to eat 2/3 of the calories I intend to by the time I've finished lunch, but I don't make each meal the same size.0 -
Breakfast: 261 (bran flakes, dried dates, and semi skim milk)
Lunch: 150-200 (either a can of tuna or about 100g chicken breast with some salad cream and cucumber)
Dinner: ehhhh somewhere around 400-500
Snacks: About 400-500 spread over the day. Today was a hard boiled egg (61), greek yogurt (81), 2 home-baked low cal chocolate cupcakes (with frosting - 232), and some lemon sorbet (69).
On days that I do BJJ/Kickboxing I have a 300-400cal protein shake as well, and on Tuesdays I normally get a pumpkin spice latte en route to the university library.
ETA: awww yiss today is Tuesday. PSL TIME!0 -
1. Breakfast = 1000
