New to Keto - concerned about under-eating

I am new to the ketogenic lifestyle and though I am clear on what my requirements are to reach my goal (thanks to the keto-calculator) but my question is... what if I cannot eat my required calories & fat in a day? Will this prevent or knock me out of ketosis? What kind of leverage do most people find that they can still succeed though they have gone over/under ideal macros?
Insight much appreciated!

You should probably ask in the keto boards... http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1143-keto

I figured. You'll get better answers there. In the general boards it's like trying to have a conversation and having your nephew screaming "CALORIES IN CALORIES OUT" "JUST EAT EVERYTHING" "CARBS ARE GOOD" in a repetitive loop. It gets old fast.

leighsnow going much over 50-100 carbs is about the only thing that I know of that will knock one out of ketosis. When actually in ketosis our own fat can be the fat for short periods as I understand it. I have never gained weight from going heavy on fat but can gain fast on over eating carbs.

To answer your question, I've been Keto for 6 months, and I don't overly worry about ratios of protein/fat too much, but I keep my carbs to 20g or less. I will say try and eat your calories, not hard to add some mayo, or butter, or bacon to up your calories quite alot. It's easy to undereat due to not being hungry but it's not good for you to eat under your BMR long term. Don't be afraid of fat.
