Colon Cleanse and Raspberry Ketones....advice needed.

Ive just started using these in conjunction with each other as part of a calories controlled diet with exercise thrown in....
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of these - that they would like to share? Ive read awful stories of the side effects, but want to know really - am i putting my health at risk?
Thanks.

Myself and a few friends found they were just a waste of money,
also be careful where you got them from as some places dont tell all the small print and you get extra charges go out of your bank

I'd save my money and not buy them at all, if it were me.

I will be interested in some of the answers here, it wouldnt be for me, but its advertised everywhere here. It appears to me to be a strong aloe laxative and raspberry keytone mix.... but like i say not for me, so havent fully looked into it.

Total waste. At best, you'll get a small boost of energy from the stimulants in them. Sadly, that will only last so long because your body will get used to the stimulants. At worst, well you've read the stuff.

You can keep taking them if you feel so inclined so you don't waste your purchase, but I would probably just call it a loss and stop taking them. If you've reduced your calories, you'll lose. No need for colon cleanses and ketones.

I was very sceptical of these things but thought id give them a go. Think i'll carry on with them (otherwise that would be a proper waste of money...) and then give it a miss. Im doing enough exercise and my diet is (generally) good - but thank you everyone for your advice and comments.

You've read about the side effects? Started taking them anyway, now you ask?

Okay, well they are a waste of money. Learn about nutrition, log your food, eat at a reasonable deficit, find an activity you like, rinse and repeat.

It's a waste of money anyway

You lose weight with a caloric deficit. There are no "magic" pills or shortcuts, its all about hard work.

I don't get how people think a colon cleanse will help them lose weight. Logically by the time the food you ate gets to that area it's pooped out anyway. And the raspberry keytones sounds like a 50's doo-wop group and hard to take seriously.

    I can't with MFP sometimes.

The problem with using them in conjunction with a proper diet and more exercise is that there'll be that small nagging voice at the back of your mind telling you that your positive results can be attributed slightly to your supplements. This is far from the truth, because like everyone has said, calorie deficits are the only thing that will guarantee weight loss.

Well, my GI did give me this stuff once that cleaned me out REAAAAAAL good. Granted it was also pretty viscous and tasted like salty lemon Pledge. I couldn't finish it. He also put a scope up my backside and cut a precancerous polyp out ... so really it's not a colon cleanse I recommend to much of anyone.

I'm confused. If skeptical, why give it a go?

Didn't Dr. Oz (hack, swindler, scammer) get in trouble for the claims he made trying to sell raspberry keytones?

Your colon does not need to be "cleansed" unless you have a medical condition (trust me- you'd know).
  • Sounds like she already bought them and is ok with taking them instead of just throwing them away.

I have mixed feelings on the colon cleanse. Yes it is healthy, but it also removes good bacteria from your gut which can give you an infection. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Waste of money. And what's the point of the colon cleanse? You do realize you aren't losing any fat, right? Is it really worth putting yourself through that to lose water and waste weight that will just come right back?

They gave you FLEET? I thought was just something they theartened small children with to get them to eat their broccoli - or maybe I just had a disturbed childhood! ;)

Yup! And I think Congress went after him...

And isn't a colon cleanse not much different than taking laxatives? If your troops are that backed up I would think just adding more fiber to your diet would help.
