I can't help you. I just ate 3 pieces and will probably eat more and log every piece.

In the past, viewing Halloween candy as "forbidden" lead me to crave it then eat unnecessary amounts of it. This year, I have decided I can have as much as I want, but I have to log it. In my opinion a much healthier attitude. If you want it - eat it, log it, and move on.

I'm thinking, this year, I should just go out and get some tomorrow (you know, when it's 75% off) and just eat it. Once it's gone, I'll move on.

As a matter of fact, I'll probably be having candy for dinner. I can do that because I'm an adult and there's no one to tell me I can't.

I had some last year. This thing I think I'll do fine without. I mean... you can buy candy all year, there's not really any need to gorge yourself on it just because it's Halloween.

I also only bought stuff I don't care for to give out, although my kids will probably bring back a lot of goodies, but they brought some home last week too and I haven't had any...

I follow the log, decide, eat plan. I log it to see what it does to my totals, decide that I don't care about them today, then eat the chocolate.

I have a massive bucket in the front room, filled and ready for trick-or-treaters. So far I've resisted and haven't eaten a single piece. But it's constantly on my mind! I have no problem eating a few pieces, but I have a hard time stopping once I've started. And it doesn't help that my husband waaaay overbought, so I'll have to figure out what to do with the leftovers other than scarfing them all...

I fully plan on being in a candy coma before the end of the night. I don't even care how many calories it all is! lol

Im going to buy myself a whole bag of fun size Twix tomorrow when candy goes on sale. Not too many calories so I can plan to eat one or two a day and plan my other meals around that. If I try to have none at all, Ill probably end up cheating and feeling awful about it so Im just going to plan it.
  • A bootcamp-trainer friend of mine posted this pic today. Even though I agree with the "eat it and move on" posts, maybe this will help?

You can usually tell when you're getting close to the last kid you're going to see. When you get there, dump it all in the last kid's bag (or maybe keep 5-10 pieces in case of stragglers, but no more). You'll make that one kid just SO happy, and then you can turn off your porch light and be done for the evening.

I LOVE candy, fortunately no one brought any into the office. I don't have any at home either. My focus is on losing another ten pounds before Thanksgiving and treating myself then to a nice BIG helping of all my favorites: turkey, potatoes, casseroles, stuffing...etc. etc. I'd rather have a MEAL, then a handful of candy. Although, I do have Halloween cookies at home that my husband and I baked...it's hard seeing them in the kitchen and not touching them. UGH! I'm with everyone else though, just budget your calories to eat the candy you want if you can't resist. Good luck!
