So today was day 11 for me and the first day of level 2. WOW that was hard. I had to modify a lot. Level 1 has gotten to be somewhat easy so I wanted to move up. I got a really good workout and was sweating like crazy so that is good. Hopefully I will get better after 9 more days and then I will try and move up to level 3. That Jillian is one tough cookie.

I'm in the same boat you are, only 2 days ahead of you. I am dying by the end of the workout and I'm modifying like crazy. I feel so good afterwards though, so I try to plow through!
  • Made it through day 2!! Here's to tomorrow!! :drinker:

I took today off from the 30 day shred. I was completely committed to doing it everyday but I don't think my body is and it was in serious need of a day off, especially since I haven't taken one in well over a month. It is going to take me a little longer to finish the 30 days then I expected but I have to take a break at the end of the week. I know some were posting that they think your body needs a day to heal and now that I have been doing it for 11 straight day I agree. You just have to do what your body is telling you and mine right now is saying BACK OFF  for a least 24 hours. I hope everyone else is doing good with the shredding and keep up the good work.

As for landbsdotingchauffeur I am not quite sure of the results yet. I think I will know better after I actually finish the 30 days and measure. No weight loss yet but my clothes are definitely getting bigger.

just finished day 3- I hate pushups but I will get better with time- I do the modified or girly ones but my goal is to be able to do more girly ones and then progress into military style push-ups.
  • Where are all you shredders?! I hope you're still going strong!

Cheryl posted something about getting an awesome upper body workout with my new Reebok adjustible weights since I'm on crutches and can't do the regular stuff and I realized I was copping out.

So, I just Shredded. Toe touches instead of jumping jacks. Side bends with weights instead of jump ropes. Small amount of "no impact" cheating by doing the butt kids but stepping insted of jogging, you get the picture. The punching was no problem. That amounts to 5 minutes of modified Shred and the rest is normal? Not bad but it's amazing how much strength I've lost in just the past couple of weeks.

So I missed a little of the full-metal jacket workout but got most of it. I just needed to stop making excuses. Thanks Cheryl!
  • Shredded pn the 19th and today too. I can do 20 girl pushups now or 10 boy push ups (with pain) .

I am very bad - I have not shredded in 3 days :blushing:
  • Oh, no guilt trips allowed. That's not bad, that's human. Shred today!

I shredded this morning. My weight isn't changing much (remember, I'm having to do a modifed versopm since the doctor said NO impact exercises)
Since I haven't been able to run and have only been shredding, I have lost:

    .75 inches in my bust
    1 inch in my waist
    .75 inches in my hips
    .25 inches in my thighs

I'm tickled pick that I haven't GAINED weight. I'm not shredding everyday. My life prohibits that. But I am shredding probably 4 times a week on average. Those results are pretty good considering....

And, I can do 22 girly pushs during the tape and have done 10 boy pushups in front of my husband who didn't see a thing because the football game was on. Should have done them naked....

Now, if I can survive this week. Portion control. Portion control. Portion control.

does anyone know how many calories you burn with this workout?

I'm 5'1 & 146lbs I usually burn between 180-195calories. I wear a heart rate monitor and that is what it tells me. Hope this helps.

Since I'll be home for a few days (and away from my uni's wonderful gym)...I'm diving in!

I just home my stepmom still has her weights.

Question...I know she has three-pounders, but I'd rather use 5's. She also has those wrist-weights that look like braces. If I put two pounds in 'em and carried the 3's, would it be like carrying 5's?

Just did day 21 and level 3 for the first time. I really liked it I think because it was a change. I was kind of getting tired with level 2. Don't get me wrong it was hard but something new and different. Hope everyone else is doing good with their shredding. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

What happened to all the shredders? It's been a week since anything was posted and that was me. I just finished day 24. I only have 6 days left and I am done then I am going to measure. How is everyone else doing? Did everyone quit? I hope there is still some shredders out there.

I have been on level 3 for 5 days now and I just finished day 25. Only 5 days to go. YEAH! I actually like level 3 the best I think. It is definitely harder then the other two and on some parts I have to do the beginner instead of the advanced but it is a good workout. The only thing I think is kind of funny is Jillian says you should start seeing those abs right about now. I don't see any abs my abs must have missed the memo saying they are suppose to show up. All I see is proof of having two beautiful babies but I'm ok with that. I don't think I will ever see abs but who knows. How are you doing? I think almost everyone has given up besides you, me and jg4ever. I thought more people would stick with it at least till their 30 days were done.

I like level 3 the best too, but I miss level 1 for it's ease  I don't see abs either--proof of one beautiful baby for me and I'm FINE with that! I am going away for 3 weeks next weekend and will plan to pick up shredding in the New Year when I get back. I'll have new motivation with it being resolution time and all. Keep it up! If nothing else, it's a great workout.

Alright people now I know many of you have disappeared but I am extreamly excited because I just finished the 30 day shred. Yes you heard right 30 whole days and 3 levels. I did 10 days a level and today was the last one. It took me about 37 days though because I had a couple off here and there. HURRAY FOR ME! I am going to wait till Sunday to measure and weigh because my TOM is here right now. Good luck to those of you that are still doing the shred. Just keep up the hard work and you will be done in no time.
  • Wow, USMC, that's awesome! I can't wait to hear your results.

I haven't done it for 30 days yet. And I've cheated on Jillian with a P90X video and a Turbo Jam video. I also did a Tae Bo video and didn't even really sweat. And I tried hard!. I keep coming back to Jillian though - her video is efficient and effective. My dh even said my @ss looked good! Still can't run yet so I'm really going to focus on the Shred beginning tomorrow.

Don't forget to post your results!
