down 30 still have 30 to go. prediabetic what foods should I eat

Doctor said as long as I eat healthy and stay active and lose weight I should be fine.

I hear fruit, oatmeal, granola bars, whole grains, salads. As is I don't really eat much fast food or deep fries foods. I eat fit & active pouches from aldis. I just really want to prevent getting diabetes.
