i found this site that has a calculator, I prefer to keep it simple and use more even numbers though.
On those sites are these net calories or total calories?0 -

WOW - I went there and my "extreme fat loss" is at 1560, here it's 1200. Hmmm... now I'm re-evaluating the reason I wasn't losing which I had questioned here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/230194-too-much-too-little-thoughts
If the #'s are true, I may have been eating way too little for what I'm doing.0 -
that is quite possible, the easiest way to tell is to eat more and if the weight starts coming off then you know the answer. I recently raised mine as i am in my last 10 pounds range and at 16% bodyfat or so. I am aiming for 10% of 158 whichever comes first then switching gears to a muscle gain program.0

This may make me sound completely idiotic, and I apologize if this question has already been asked before, but is it possible to do this if you don't work out? I'm on 1200 calories a day max with no exercise (leg injury). Is it possible, or even healthy, to allow a deficit when there's no exercise involved? I'd probably be starving all day. Just curious though for future reference.0

if that is what you are setup for at the moment I would not recommend it until you are healed and able to eat more calorically speaking.0

Thanks for the info0

um, maybe i'm just overthinking it, but this seems so complicated to me? can someone dumb it down even further for me?0
-
kind of confused as well... but bumping this for later... Thanks for the post!!0

to make it simpler put the info into this calculator: http://www.naturalphysiques.com/64/zig-zag-calculator-for-fat-loss-andor-muscle-gain the results are net calories, so on your home page after you put in your food and exercise at the end of the day that number should = your net calories. I am at a lower bodyfat so I have had to alter my numbers from what was originally posted to reflect that, the 800 deficit on days 1 and 2 was for me not necessarily for all.0
