I am 5'4" and 117 and not trying to lose weight, but I am trying to lose some fat. It is so crazy how people with the same dimensions can weigh different amounts! check out http://www.mybodygallery.com/search.html?gender=female&height=163&age=any&weight=54&pantSize=any&shirtSize=any&bodytype=
it shows how the same height and weight can look very different on different people. I also like to show people this http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/
because here is a girl who was 117 and started lifting and looks great at 142...0 -

I'll stop when I feel good again. This is more about health than size. . . that said getting my butt back into size 5/7 jeans would make me feel awfully good. LOL
I do agree though that I've got no idea how I'd look like at that weight at this point. My face looks leaner than it did at this same weight before I had kids. . . eight/nine years ago. *sigh*0 -

Whenever I read these kinds of threads, I'm so fascinated by how different we all are! Our body type and frame, our age, and our role models all play important parts in what we feel our goals should be. In some people's cases, I'm sure that they get a goal weight from a doctor or nutritionist. Besides pregnancy weights, I think my highest was in the low 150s (though I didn't get on the scale then!). I usually hover just under 145 and don't feel bad at that weight. When I start to creep up over 145 I feel thick and squishy (all my extra weight gets carried in my middle). A couple of times I've "dieted" my way down to a low of 134 and felt thin and fit. As soon as I stop working at it, I creep right back up. The biggest clothes I've had were size 14 but the smallest are only a 10. I'm 5'4 and 49 years old. I think that if I weighed 130 I'd be skinny! I'd just like to never go over 140 again. I think that would be a healthy way to ride out my 50s, 60s, and beyond!0

GW: Healthy, Lean, Strong. Ongoing.
My average weight for last 16 years has always been about 125-135. When I was 9 mo pregnant (12 years ago) I weighed 165. In 2012 I went from size 4@125lbs to size 10@164lbs in Aug 2013. In the last year I have lost a ton of body fat. I weigh the same now as I did at a size 8 and I am currently a size 6 occasional 4. MUSCLE. I am not bulky, I am strong. I still have my 34DD and I have an outline of upper abs and a little squish around my belly button that is trying to hang on. My backside did not revert to the flat butt it used to be. I am lean, curvy BUT STRONG.
It is so important to focus on eating healthy and developing your core strength and total body muscles. You may be 5'6" and 120lbs but you will probably have a higher body fat than lean muscle mass. Look in to lifting. You will burn more calories lifting moderate wight than you will in 2-3x the amount of time on a treadmill.0 -

150 is my current goal because it will push me from the overweight BMI category to the normal category. That will be such an amazing day!!! But my goal very well may change on that day as well!0 -

Goal:140-150

I would love to be at ideal for my height for the BMI, but even my doctor said if I get that low, I would look sick with my body frame0
