So, it's that time of year when we start writing our lists and praying that the elves listen to us! What will you be asking Santa for this year?

Can we get passed Thanksgiving first?
(Unless you're not from America, or Puerto Rico, or Liberia, or Norfolk Island, in which case, you're given a pass. )0 -

If by asking Santa to get it for me you really mean buying it myself as soon as online sales start, then I am asking the discounts for a new laptop, camera, chocolate from Godiva, many items from Bath and Body works, items that make me look like a grown up, and then anything "Lolita Clothing" related that will probably make me look more like a child or doll from websites that are written in English because I cannot understand any of the words written in Japanese that surround the coat I want that looks like the one from Beauty and the Beast.0

Don't celebrate thanksgiving...
Looking for either a hrm or fitbit.
Any beauty products are also welcome. What you looking for op?0 -
When I was travelling Europe I lost my fitbit, so I'm hoping to get another one. I've also asked for money or vouchers for supplements etc. and new gym clothes.0
-
Need new runners but will get these myself in the sales. Hate buying clothes in December unless the sales are on as all so cheap after Christmas0

Bitter posters are bitter.
Kinda hoping for some new jeans or sweatshirts myself, and some new games to play with the fam.0 -

I get to see my fiance for 3 whole weeks, best present ever.0

Canadian here .. so definitely past our Thanksgiving However, I do not require presents anymore at this stage in the game. Maybe if I ever have children I will talk Christmas lists again! To me it's all about spending some quality time with my fam0

Not to get totally side-tracked, but have you done much reading about capitalism? I'm not saying you haven't done the reading, I'm just curious. I actually used to echo your sentiments a lot in college without having done the research. Not that long ago, I read The Road to Freedom (which sounds cheesy, but is a play off of another book title The Road to Serfdom, so it's not aaaaaaallllll Mer-ca on your *kitten*) and it really changed my opinion. It would be hard to sum up right now, but there are many great arguments for capitalism (waaaaay better than socialism, in terms of getting people the resources they need to stay fed, keeping groceries affordable, etc.). It especially pulls for loosely regulated capitalism, for many, many reasons.
Anyway, I want a recurve hunting bow for the apocalypse and because I like shooting as a hobby. And peace on Earth, of course. But goodwill only toward women!0 -
I am hoping for fitness related items like clothing, fitbit, dvds, cookbooks. I am sure I won't get any because my husband doesn't want me to think that he thinks I need to lose weight even though I specifically asked for these things. I know very juvenial but its his thinking. I need those more than I need another bottle of perfume.0

The best part about Holdays, Thanksgiving or Christmas, is that all my daughters and those that they care about, my granddaughters, my wife and my friends will all be over. Nothing earth-shattering takes place. I just love to cook for them. I love to watch them talking to each other.
Wait a second, I do have one wish. I wish they would turn off their cell phones.0 -
a dresser for the bedroom....and a laptop!0

I agree. How about we just cancel Christmas and put a stop to the increase in anxiety and depression that it seems to cause from people running around rushing, trying to make it perfect?
I don't do Christmas but I laugh at how all the people who claim to love it whip themselves into a crazed, manic frenzy that leaves them exhausted and numb by the time the big day arrives.
