Fashionably late to the party due to an op in hospital. So starting late

Have dropped 41/2 lb since my pre op meeting a month a go, however convalescing whilst good but painful means no activity. Starting today with some very light weights to see how it goes.

I started walking. It's slow as I have a bad ankle. But figure something is better than nothing. Husband says I smell like ketosis breath Hurrah? And I am dying for some cookies (but haven't bothered to figure out a wheat free version yet <--wheat allergy. 11 days gluten free)

Struggles or successes of the week: I'm just switching over from WW to MFP and feeling really good about the move. I'm all for it! Let's go! I passed up ice cream today (it was so hard I wanted to cry!) but I hadn't checked what was wheat free before we went, so better safe than sorry. Best of luck this week0 -

How's is everyone's week going? I'm happy as a bug in the rug! I've worked out for five days in a row--which is quite rare for me! I had no self -control yesterday and HAD to eat a bagel, okay, well two! Sigh. But, today is a new and better day!0

Struggles or successes of the week:
Successes -- Hubs and I bought some protein shake mix once I figured out that we weren't consuming enough protein every day. It was really hard to get enough protein in there without going over our calorie goals for the day. As of this post we've had 3 good days of calorie counting + increased protein intake, so I have high hopes for the end of the month!
Struggles -- I've been having mega cravings for sweets! I permit myself 1 dessert item every night, usually a cup of hot cocoa or nonfat chocolate milk. I make sure I have "room" for it in my daily goals so I don't go over. But part of me just really wants a giant candy bar or a donut or something. So far I've avoided that, but it's been crazy difficult!0 -

Thanks! And, you know what...you are so right! I was actually satisfied with my bagel and didn't worry much about it. Then just made sure I did some walking and stretching later on last night. I'm hoping to see a drop on the scale, but knowing my body, it may take a few weeks to see any kind of a drop in weight.
