So apparently the average American consumes 7,000 calories on Christmas Day (http://abcnews.go.com/Health/calories-average-american-eats-christmas/story?id=27816914)!

Went over goal by 2,000 so had in total for Christmas day 3300 but the foods were my favorite indulgence, nuts, crackers, cookies but will be back on it0
-
I don't know...but not 7,000...probably closer to 4k, maybe less.0
-
I'm thinking around 4,000. I did get some swims in though0
-
Our holiday meal is on Sunday. I'm not expecting to go over. My MIL isn't a good cook and she insists on making the meal0
-
a little over 3k.0
-
Maybe 3k.0
-

-

Probably 2500. Breakfast, ham with two sides (one of which I didn't finish), desserts, and a sandwich with leftover ham.0
-
1450 here. It was kinda hard too! I'm proud of myself to have been within my calorie limit.0
-
I'm not sure about Christmas day, as I had no internet or cellular service and I didn't care to write it all down on paper. Probably 3,000 ish, as I ate "light", lol. Today (26 December), I hit 4,000+. We have no leftovers, so it's back to business as usual starting tomorrow.0

I have no idea. I decided long ago that Christmas Day was the one day in the past year that I would allow myself to not log specific foods. I did a Quick Add of about 4000 and let it go at that.0

About 1700 calories. I was full at that amount so I can't imagine myself consuming 7000 calories in one day. I looked at what they thought people were consuming and that is nothing like what I have ever had.0 -
Not sure, but I bet it was close to 6,000-8,000.

I actually logged in yesterday and hit 1688 so 488 over my usual 1200 on non exercise days0
-
about 500 probably, and thats a high estimate. didnt feel well and didn't eat much of anything all day. will say that it was good at the end of the night not feeling like i was gonna explode due to overeating.0
-
I would guess 4000. Didn't attempt to keep track though and there was a lot of food throughout the day.0
-
Maybe about 1600 for whole day? I don't like to stuff myself...0
-
I was around 30000
-
Didn't log but probably 3500-4000... but it was Christmas. Today I ate around 2000, but was still over my calorie goal by 500. I NEED to get back in the gym before the extra calories start showing - I've been lazy these past two weeks!0
-
didn't log my Christmas dinner. However, I don't drink eggnog, let alone the 3-4 glasses that were mentioned in the article. I'd estimate mine to be about 2250-2500.

About 4500 (logged loosely) +/- for alcahol (I logged that at 1400 but in all honestly it was probably a little more)0
-
like 1500-1600 lol i don't know why christmas has to be associated with binge eating a to of food or eating so unhealthy. enjoy time with family not eat til you can't breathe.0
-
2600 here.. and having to really hold back on leftovers to keep from going over today!0
-
1969 one day and 2300 the other. I really don't even know how or where someone would PUT 7k.0
-
2300 for christmas eve, 2800 for christmas day0
-
I guesstimated it to be around 800 calories (possibly less) by the end of the night. I was sick for Christmas, and had been vomiting the night before and the morning of, so 800 was about all I could "stomach," literally. And it wasn't even holiday food. It was boring stuff like juice and soup and plain toast, because Christmas food wouldn't have stayed down. Worst. Christmas. Ever.
I don't think I'm gonna make all my calories today, either, because I still get a bit queasy, even eating small amounts. I'm trying, though. I'll make it up on New Year's!0 -

1350 and treadmill took off 120. I so agree about gluttony just because it's Christmas or any holiday. Even when I was fat I never tried to make myself sick over eating.
