She gets it. MFP doesn't "approve".
Dead horse is dead.
IMHO what she's attempting doesn't differ qualitatively from many other approaches folks post here. If she hadn't said cleanse and had just named the foods she was going to eat very few peoe would have gone mental.0 -
It is just adorable how someone who is 26 years old and knows f**k all about life tells other people (who have already sucessfully lost weight) to "do some research." lol0

Calories in, calories out. Pretty "scientifically proven" actually...0

I didn't see anyone go mental. She said she was going on a 10 day (maybe longer) cleanse ... a foolish path. Supporting one taking a foolish path makes a person as foolish as the one embarking on it.0

Good sugar is fructose. Good fat is unsaturated, in this case coming from nut ingredients. Fiber is from the fruit and vegetables-- I mean really??? Where is the fiber in a SMOOTHIE???
Just so you are aware, not everyone on this threat was bashing you. When I asked about it I was curious, it seems like the same goes for this person. I understand you don't want people being rude on your threat, nobody would! But just a thought then, maybe this person is new to this and doesn't have knowledge and was actually curious, being rude right back won't help your case.

Even if smoothie cleanses were legit, I don't think I'd want an accountability partner with such a.... sunny disposition.
As for size 2 in 3 months... depends on your starting point (if you're female, that is) and what your goals are.
But I guess it's moot since OP deactivated.0 -
Well I think they expected "Yay! You go with your bad self! You will drop 100 pounds in a week!"...not gonna get that here lol0

And now she's gone. Hmm is that a good thing? I'd say no.0 -
Wow, tough crowd.....
Do what's right for you... In the end, what you feel is best is what counts.
Good luck.0 -
I know nothing about cleanses...
Is this where you have nothing but green smoothies for 10 days??? Does anyone actually do that? I think after a few days i would be sick.0 -

But again, this is on a site where someone with "regularity" issues is told to go to in and out burger as a "solution". LOL

You didn't answer my simple question to you earlier. Am I to support foolish acts?0 -
Is anyone not knocking this, cause I'm going to do it0

That's your choice ... although there is no reason to do so. It won't cleanse anything from your body ... it doesn't provide your body with basic macronutrients ... it is nothing more than a highly restrictive low calorie diet that is unsustainable and built upon fallacies.

Sad she wasn't given a chance. She was just looking for support. If you read the book it actually is more than just a "cleanse." I did it and it jump started my weight loss. To me it was a salad in a cup 3x a day, rich with all of your usual nutrients. And you can pretty much eat healthy snacks all day. The first 3 days were the hardest but you get over it. I lost 7 lbs in those 10 days and was able to rid my cravings. I'm still losing weight eating normal healthy foods at my higher calorie levels. It's obviously not for everyone. But it gave me a boost of encouragement from the weight loss. For 2 months b4 i worked out 6 days a week and according to MPF reduced my calories. I didn't lose a pound and really couldn't find the right amount of calories to eat to balance my intense workouts so i was looking for other options. I tried this and the weight started to fall off. Just wanted to share my experience that's all0
