Corset Training...

Considering your organs are moved around when you have kids, tight lacing won't make you infertile. No more than low body fat %0

I'm interested to know if this would affect your womanly organs, ability to have kids - would they still sit in the right place etc?
Yes! you do have to be careful because organs can be damaged/ruptured if not careful. Things move and get pushed around after a while. So of course, don't do it to an extreme0 -
Everything in moderation applies to corset training too :laugh:0

I'm more of a foot binding kind of girl, myself.
LMAO!0 -
Tightlacing?
I think it's pretty cool unless you go over the top & end up like Ethel Granger, I heard that if she took her corset off, she'd snap in half.
This is disgusting.0 -
Just make sure you're really careful and don't go too over the top. It can cause organ and bone damage if you go too far or too fast. My best friend wanted to lose three inches, she cracked 4 ribs and now has to deal with lung damage due to tightlacing. I'm not telling you not to do it, just please be careful.0

Soo funny - as I was reading this thread, the ad on the right side of the page changed over to corsets. I have never seen that ad on this site before now.....
Anyway - as many have said - all things in moderation as far as I am concerned - more power to ya. I would love to own some nice corsets - love the renaissance and Victorian look now and then....0 -
how long would it take to see results from this? would love to lose 2 inches from my waist...0

Well from the video link I posted, the lady said it depends on how much *squish* you have. Someone with more fat around their waist would see results faster than someone with less fat. Also depends on how strict you are with is as well. Some train only a few hours a day while most train 20+ hours (minus shower, exercise, etc.)
Anywhere from 2 months to a year really. Don't quote me on that though, I need to re-watch the videos and read up on some things.0 -
While you are wearing the corset, your reduction is whatever tightness you have laced to. Your body will go back to its usual shape when you take the corset off.
I have a completely custom corset that was quite expensive, but I can't wear it again until I loose the baby weight. When I weighed 145, I had a 27" waist and could lace to 23" pretty easily.
Now, after baby #2, I'm at 174, and a 33" waist, and have laced to 31.5 within a week. The corset I'm wearing now is from Meschantes, and is their basic model. You can get it off Ebay for $100.
Underneath the corset, I wear a cotton camisole with a built-in shelf bra. I get mine from Old Navy, and I get one size too small, in the Tall size, so that plenty of fabric sticks out the bottom.
When I was thin, there was little to no fat spillage out the top or bottom. Now that there is quite a bit more to squish around, there is spillage at the top (but not the bottom). I've tried lacing the top less tightly, but then the corset is too loose, and it shifts around and chafes. I solve it by wearing a blazer over my shirt, or by wearing a very loose top.
It does make my waist look tiny from the front, but it makes my profile look larger. I'm doing it more for appetite control, though, and only wear it for about 4 hours a day in the morning.
I've recently started lacing using the inverted bunny ears method. I think it works a lot better to keep even pressure on the waist, and has eliminated the gaping I used to get at the loop site.0 -
Hi...Im new here and I enjoy using corsets to help me combat hunger during the day for weight loss! A few years ago I lost a lot of weight by wearing one during the day all day. I was very full by just eating a tiny bit due to the compression on my stomach. Just wanted to share that real corsets are extremely expensive, but I have found www.orchardcorset.com/ which has very reasonable priced real steel boned corsets. I just purchased from them and it is just as high in quality as a $300 corset I purchased about 6 years ago :happy:0

This can be very dangerous. Restrict blood flow, break ribs. Women back in the 20s and 30s who wore these things died due to improper cinching.0

I was just talking to my hubby about this yesterday. I may end up getting one next month from this website (http://www.corset-story.com). I mean hell, every little bit helps IMO lolz. I've watched like 50 youtube videos about corset training and I'm willing to give it a try.0

I wear a compression top and lightly restrictive underbust to cinch and for portion control, but would love to start full on corset training as well! Nothing too crazy for my size- I'm not sure of my measurements, but I'd like to be at like 24" or so at goal weight. It feels great to wear a corset to me, and I think it makes women look uber sexy (not the wasp waists, I prefer healthy hourglass shapes).
Wanna be corset training buddies? As soon as I can invest in a good and/or custom made one, I'm down!0 -
