Above: October 2013, down to about 145, me at Havasu Falls in Grand Canyon, age 51.

Now, no current pics, but I've maintained at 145 for a couple years, and just started weight-lifting (free weights). Been in a slow "bulking" phase to build strength and muscle, so I've gained about 5 more pounds. But my experiment is not done, so I don't have pictures that I want to share yet (want the full-blown "afters"); I will be strength-training until spring, then doing a cutting regimen with my normal spring/summer mountain biking and other outdoor activities. Can't wait until next fall after biking and maintaining some strength training. We shall see!!!

Day one I wanted to follow the Atkins induction 20 g plan but had a hard time but I think I still did good for my very first time....I had a total of 30 net carbs and I worked out....how was that for day one? Friend me and critique my diary. I can take it. Will definitely learn from your advice as a newbie!

Some real bosses in this thread, refusing to let their weight consume them. You all get my respect, well done each and every one of you.

Sorry for the blurriness. My starting weight was actually 215lbs in October 2013, but I don't have a full length photo. I reached my goal weight of 145lbs in December 2014 and am now trying to pin down my maintenance calories (I am 5'7").
