I'm targeting my thighs! Has anyone lost inches and jean sizes?! I would love some tips on the type of exercises I could to lose inches as fast as possible. On another note, what's good to get rid of cellulite? Yuck haha

Cellulite is the DEVIL! Ughhhh... I've been doing squats and I bought a total vibration machine because I read that it "broke up" cellulite! But I haven't used it long enough to see results yet! I will add you and let you know if it works for me! But for your thighs... def. squats, lunges and leg lifts! : )

You can't target fat loss on your thighs. The best you can do is eat at a deficit and cross your fingers. If you want the appearance of your thighs to be better, you have to lift heavy. Squats, deadlifts, good mornings, lunges, split squats, etc. I lost a few inches, but it was from my diet, not from the exercise.

Hahah true! But anyway, I read somewhere that when you only do lunges and exercises to work your leg muscles, you may bulk up on your legs and look even bigger. So maybe just a ton of cardio and 25 mins of muscle and toning incorporates into the workout? I'll give that a try

There is no such thing as "toning" and bulking up takes hard work, and a calorie surplus. You don't gain muscle mass in a calorie deficit. I am so tired of hearing that women are going to bulk up eating 1500 calories a day. I lost a considerable amount of fat lifting heavy and eating at a deficit.

Hmm, well, you can try it, but you might not like what you end up with (thighs that do have a smaller circumference, but look exactly the same as they do now). If you want smooth thighs with less jiggle, focus on lifting to build muscle underneath FIRST, then lose the fat that's overtop.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Thank you!

Just wanted to say that like 97% of women have cellulite, so please don't stress over it! It's a natural occurrence based off like a ton of factors, even boiling down to hormones that can't be controlled in some.

Haha that makes me feel better! I just wish there was an exercise that targeting cellulite specifically in certain areas, I guess that's kinda impossible though!

Okay, I'm 5'4" and started at 163 with 44 inch hips and probably 25 inch thighs. I've lost 25 pounds and 5 inches from my hips.

You have to use this app correctly. Be honest about your activity level, eat at the deficit it gives you, eat 50-75% of your cardio/exercise calories back. Weigh all of your food, not just measuring cups.

If you want to have a NICE body and not just a slimmer version of yourself, you DO need to lift. If not weights, body weight. The ideas you hear about women "bulking" up are complete bull. When you start to lose fat, you lose muscle too, which is why even after losing pounds on the scale, people tend not to be pleased with the aesthetics of their body. Lifting weight on a deficit only helps you preserve the muscle you already have. And you look hotter.

That makes perfect sense. So working the muscles with lunges and weights and lifting, while doing other excersizes to help fat loss and eating at a deficit should do the trick

Well, you can't spot reduce...but doing a lot of walking, lifting weights and dancing cannot hurt!

I also lost 2 inches from my butt and thighs when in a calorie deficit and lifting heavy with no cardio whatsoever. Bulking up your legs takes years of heavy lifting and eating in a surplus so don't panic lol

Eating less calories than your body needs to maintain it's weight. Eating less than you burn.

At 18-19 I had pretty bad cellulite for someone who wasn't overweight by BMI and was young. Things that improved it for me (bear in mind, there's still a bit, but I'm MUCH happier):

    - Losing weight (I lost about 20lbs), it came off fairly proportionally so I remain a slight pear shape, just a smaller, tighter one. I kept a small deficit and mainly tried to reduce portion sizes of high calorie foods and carefully pick a range of healthy options which filled me up for longer.
    - Building muscle through a mix of weighted lunges and squats (several different types), hip thrusts, donkey kicks and some pilates/yoga type exercises mainly. I started off swimming when I decided to stop being so bloody sedentary, and I do think that helped.

I tried gels, creams, skin brushing, cutting out caffeine/alcohol/sugar, but none of that worked for me. I now no longer allow myself to spend ages in front of a mirror staring at the parts of my body I don't deem perfect. One thing that really does reduce the visibility of cellulite is fake tan - spray/slather some on your legs and be amazed at how much smoother they look.
