I'm wanting to find a good alternative to milk, something that would taste good in coffee and cereals. Have any good suggestions?

Why are you giving up milk?0

I like almond milk in cereals, soy milk in my protein shakes, and I haven't found a good replacement for cream in my coffee, so I drink it black. I think SO delicious makes a coffee creamer, as does silk. You could try those.0

Any particular reason you're looking for an alternative?
There are plenty out there, but check the macros and calories. I like almond milk but it has much less protein than cow milk.0 -

Silk Cashew Milk!! It's so creamy and smooth and it's only 25 calories per 8 oz serving.0

Have you tried coconut oil blended into the coffee, a milk frother works well. It is great for giving you a boost of energy It's great pre-gym.

Soy milk in my green smoothies. Try to buy organic non-GMO (for soy products).0

Almond milk is my most favoritest. I can't drink cows milk :puke:0

powder milk. Just little powder milk + water. Less calories and it lasts longer.0

I like the sweetened varieties of almond milk for coffee. They usually say "original" on the carton. Coconut beverage (in the carton, not the can) is nice too, but super high in saturated fat.0

If OP is avoiding milk, how would consuming in powdered form help? It's still milk.0 -

I make 'ice cream' with the canned stuff. Yummy fatty goodness!0 -

Flashbacks to the last days before dad's pay day when I was a kid. But seriously, If memory serves, there's something rather unhealthy about the cholesterol in powdered milk. This wouldn't be my first choice (and the taste). Glad you like it though.0 -
The liquid coffee mate is great. It's lactose free and tasty.0

Almond milk, coconut milk, or cashew milk. My favorite right now is the almond/coconut milk blend by Califia. I've purchased it at both Whole Foods & Kroger.0

INGREDIENTS: WATER, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN AND/OR COTTONSEED OIL, AND LESS THAN 2% OF SODIUM CASEINATE (A MILK DERIVATIVE)**, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, MONO- AND DIGLYCERIDES, SODIUM ALUMINOSILICATE, ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, CARRAGEENAN.
** Not a source of lactose.0 -
I use oat milk on my cereal (it also comes in chocolate variety), but hemp milk in my hot drinks as it's one of the few subs I've found that doesn't curdle or separate when hot0

Not appealing at all. And if OP is avoiding milk for ethical reasons, it would be a no-no.
OP, why are you avoiding milk?0 -
I just found out that there are 2 types of cows milk - A1 and A2. It appears that most people have a problem with A1. A1 is far more popular in the supermarket because dairy farmers use the cows that produce A1 as they produce more. A2 milk is cow's milk that contains only the A2 type of beta-casein protein rather than the more common A1 protein commonly found in regular milk. Goat milk is higher in calcium and has the A2 beta casein protein. I now use goat milk without any inflammatory problem0
