How often do you exercise

I am sure this has been asked before but how often do people exercise?
I will usually go for a run 4 days a week and go to the gym once a week sometimes twice. When I have my rest days (today is one) I feel like I want to go for a run or go to the gym which is frustrating but I know I need to have a rest day.

I "work out" six days a week. I try to alternate intense and recovery days. The seventh day is usually more active rest. I'll go for a walk, an easy (EASY) swim, bike around town on a single-speed with my dog in the back basket. It is very, very rare that I sit on the couch for 24 hours, but sometimes it happens.
A lot of people like yoga on their rest day, but to me that ends up worse than doing nothing.0 -
I don't think I could ever do yoga lol
Since I have been doing more exercise I haven't had a day where I just sit on the couch and in all honesty I don't want one!0 -
Every day. Winter it's generally running, summer there's cycling chucked in as well. Lots of cycling. And lots of resistance and core work with all of it. We've just got back into hill walking (off to the Lakes in a few weeks) and it's strange how much easier it is now we're both a lot fitter than when we used to do it years ago.0

I used to go hill walking a lot when I lived in the UK and when I am back in the summer we will go for a walk in the Peak District on one of our old walks and see if we find it any easier!0

The Ashtanga Yoga school recommends practising 6 days a week with one day for complete rest. If you practise with full effort and focus you need the rest day!0

David, we're doing the full Mam Tor ridge from Edale on Saturday morning!0

Every day. 1-3 hard sessions per week. The other days restitution activity.0

I quite like that schedule. Especially the 7th week lol0 -

I've done that one before. Some beautiful scenery if I remember correctly.0 -
6 days a week with one active rest day.
3 days strength/weights, typically an hour.
3 days "cardio" (which could be outdoors cycling or indoors using different machines or sport), mainly one hour training sessions indoors but can be hours and hours road cycling.0 -
Hey,
7th week is certainly the best. My body certainly gives a big sigh of relief lol Gives my muscles the chance to fully recover ready for the next 6 weeks of hammering lol

I suppose its also about finding what is right for your body.0

Generally 3-6 days a week.0

Typically six days a week. I normally lift 3-4 days a week, alternating full cardio and lift days as follows:
Monday: Medium/longer run: 5-8 miles
Tuesday: Short run (2-3 miles) plus shoulders and chest.
Wednesday: Medium run (3-4 miles) and maybe some sprints or a short period on the bike.
Thursday: Short run (2-3 miles) plus legs
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: Medium run (3-4 miles) plus biceps and triceps
Sunday: Short run (2-3 mile) plus lower back and abs.
A lot of people do not like to do cardio on the same days that they lift. For me, it serves as stress relief and really clears my mind prior to my lift. You just gotta find what works for you.0 -
yeah I have combining running and doing strength work as I do all my running outside so I will go for a run and then go to the gym.0

6 days a week0

6 days a week. All powerlifting training, anywhere from 1-3 hours a day. Cardio is only when prescribed by my programmer.0

My goal is 5 days per week: 2 weight lifting and 3 running (one of those is a long run). However, I haven't had a week where I have gotten all 5 workouts in in a very long time. I am 3 months postpartum and just returned to work. Last time I did 5 workouts/week was probably the first trimester of my pregnancy. I am getting a better at prioritizing my exercise...0

I work out 6 days a week. I run 4 days a week. Right now I'm going T25 5 days a week. And Fridays are usually my full day rest. I feel guilty on my rest days but I know my body needs it. Plus Fridays are when hubby and I come home work and relax with a glass of wine and enjoy each other's company for the evening.0

Scheduled workouts are six days a week. M-W-F are free weights for arms/legs, then Tu-Th-Sa are body weight exercises for core strength. After that, every day is at least 20 minutes of cardio, usually my bike trainer. On Saturday I'll up that to 45 minutes because that's how long an episode of White Collar is (gotta get your motivation where you can!). Each workout closes with 15-20 minutes of yoga and stretching to cool down and loosen up. I was not very flexible at all growing up, but that has really changed in the last two years!
Sunday is a break from my workout schedule, but almost always includes some sort of activity like a nice long walk, some vigorous housecleaning, or, in the case of this winter, shoveling out the car from the latest weekly blizzard.0 -
3-5 days a week, depending on how busy I am and how my body feels. I'd rather go to the gym/running fewer times but put more into it, than I would go every day and half-*kitten* it, which knowing me is what would happen if I pushed myself to go 5+ days a week.0

Every other day. I work out really hard so on the off days I rest up and let my muscles build and my joints recover. I'm arthritic. As tempting as it is to try to work out every day, I know it's better for me to take the rest days.0

6 days. 3 days cardio (M,W,F)/ 3 days weight training (T, T, S). The cardio days I usually do an Insanity video or a combo of T25/P90X3 vids. Weight training days I do Body Beast and then add in some of my own exercises. Typically I allot an hour for my workouts. I find being on the 50/50 split between cardio and weights is when I get my best results rather then just being on one program such as Insanity that is heavy cardio or Body Beast which is all weights.0

Brisk walks every day. I was running 4-5 times a week, but a tendon problem was causing much pain, so I stopped for a while. I am getting back into riding my bike, too, as part of my commute to work.0
-
Every day, i cycle to work Mon - Fri and usually an Epic Mountain Bike session one or two evenings in the week and also weekends, ill take Sunday off if Ive earned it0
-
I do strength training 4 days a week and usually just only do Cardio 2 times a week. I'm in the gym 4-5 times a week, 6 if I'm having a really good week!0
-
5-6 days. I do Boot Camp Cardio Strength classes 4x week and 1-2 light cardio days at another gym.0

Monday - easy ride
Tuesday - Tempo ride AM/Lifting PM (two-a-day Tuesday)
Wednesday - Speed work ride
Thursday - Tempo ride AM/Lifting PM (two-a-day Thursday)
Friday - Rest Day usually...but dependent on how the rest of the week panned out (but I still walk 3 miles or so)
Saturday - easy ride/training session with coach
Sunday - group ride with coach (coach's choice...maybe slow paced but long ride...might be a shorter tempo ride...might be hills, sprints and attack, etc)0 -
3 days a week - but it's definitely not enough and not for long enough each time.0
