A combination of both is ideal. Like stated before, you can eat in a deficit and sit on the couch and lose weight, but you won't be making any strength gains. Being fit is more than losing weight, being fit is about all around health. Eat consciously, no like a robot, and train hard. Then you will be happy! Good luck.0
