Hi Katie, welcome! great job on going 10 days without diet soda. I think the most days I've gone was 3 and then I had a "sip" of my husbands and that derailed me altogether. I am going to try to go on a soda strike myself. Any tips?

Kim, it does sound like a lot of fun!

It's so great to see this thread thriving!

    Morning Everyone!

Leela- Glad to hear you had fun.

Yesterday felt like real progress I've drawn up a meal plan for 3 weeks hopefully a month worth by the end of today, so that food doesn't get too samey or go to waste and just to make sure I'm getting a balanced diet really.

On the fitness front today is week 5 day 3 of C25k which is a 20 minute run. Up to now I've been doing little interval sets of 5 or 8 minutes followed by a little walking before running again. I know a lot of people can just bash out 20 minutes but I can't remember the last time I could run for that long. I'm really nervous and exited to see how it goes. I'm meeting my friend in the park in an hour.

    Sunday's goals:
    1. Run
    2. Water
    3. Supermarket
    4. Make the most of my last day of holiday.
    5. Tidy up a bit

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!

I wasn't able to get here yesterday but it wasn't too bad a day as far as weekends usually go. Overindulged a bit but also worked out and the majority of my food choices and portion sizes were very good.

Today it is raining so I am going to work on my room (it's gotten to be a bit of a mess!) and HOPEFULLY get some grocery shopping done!

    Evening all!

Kim - how did the run go? I feel the same about running for longer periods of time than I am used to. Hope you enjoyed your week off.

Kathy - clean hippy! I love it!

Lee glad you had fun. Sometimes lazy days are just what we need and I think good for the soul!

So we came back a day early from the festival - birthday girl was not too well. It gave me the chance to work off some of the food I consumed there at the gym this morning and feel much better already. It amazing when you abuse your body with food for a couple of days (the way you used to on a daily basis) the difference it makes to how you feel! Have eaten incredibly clean today to try and make up for it. Slacked big time on the water but will get that rectified as well.

    Monday goals:
    1. Early training.
    2. Water.
    3. Take my snack pack to work.
    4. Laundry after work.
    5. Iron shirts.

I'm exhausted from the last few days and training today so I'm off to bed very soon! Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

    Hi Everyone!

Yesterday run was a fantastic, I did it and afterwards felt like I could do anything at all, jump right over my house! The feeling was overwhelming; if I wasn’t British I would have cried  . All of which probably explains why I agreed to sign up to a marathon next year! When I started 5 weeks ago I couldn’t run for a minute and a half and now 20 minutes, who knows where I’ll be in another month! I’m choosing between doing the London Marathon and the one in Brighton. The London ones pretty tricky to get into, I would have to raise an awful lot of money to have a hope of getting in.

Katrob- I’m so jealous, I’ve always wanted to go to Edinburgh. Hope you had a lovely birthday when ever it is/was

Leela – Hope you enjoyed your lazy day.

Kathy – hope the weather lets up soon.

Nam - Glad you’re back in once piece, hope you’re friend wasn’t too ill.

    Monday’s goals

    1. Under on calories
    2. Walk at lunch
    3. Water! I’m already behind on this one.
    4. Work on the house when I get home

Hope you all have a great day.
