lol You guys. Always so positive. Of course real pizza is 100x better. And of course if you'd prefer the real deal no need to look at my post. But this recipe is for those like myself, who can't order a pie and stop at 1 or 2 slices. Also great for those who don't want to use up 400-700 calories from their daily limit for one meal. It's for those who prefer a healthier, lighter, less greasier option. Thanks though!

Not trying to be a hater - the point I'm trying to make is more that I don't think it 'works' to not eat foods that you miss. If you're cutting foods you love out of your diet, ultimately, you'll binge and then be disappointed in yourself. I'm sure what you've made is very tasty, but my point is that I don't think this whole weight loss thing can be permanently successful unless you find a way to allow yourself the foods you love. Sweets are my issue, but over time I've changed how I look at food, as well as learned how to help myself succeed, so I now know how to eat what I love, within reason. This past weekend (I'm a nerd) I had cherry pie and vanilla ice cream for Pi day. I also had bacon with my breakfast. I'm watching my calories every 7 days and made this work on only 1200 daily avg. cals. I've lost over 12 pounds in 9 weeks, and had a healthy BMI at my starting weight. If I can do it, anyone can!
It's great that you make certain foods work for you. But there are lots of people including myself who want to avoid eating takeout pizza. There's nothing wrong with that. Also, yes there are people who might binge if they don't satisfy a certain craving but i'm not one of those people. I started this life change in January and have had not a single issue over eating or bingeing due to not satisfying a craving. Lots of other people like that too.
It looks like you are now modifying what you originally said. You stated alternative for pizza, NOT take out pizza. Why the modification? I don't eat take out pizza, or take out anything else. I cook all my meals. - Not that cooking is required to lose weight, it's not. But please don't generalize in a way you didn't originally intend. Also - not a problem with avoiding pizza - some people don't like pizza. Doesn't mean they're avoiding it, just that they don't like it. If you're looking for an alternative to pizza however, you want pizza. I respectfully disagree with your 'non binging' success. 2 1/2 months does not a binge free life make. Come back in 3 years and tell us you're binge free then. Also please don't feel the need to use the 'lots of other people' line. Weak. Lots of other people lose weight doing the lemonade, peeps, grapefruit detox, right?
How am I modifying what I said? I'm not being a smarty here, just trying to understand. I didn't say you ate take out pizza. How am I generalizing? I specifically said lots of people want to avoid takeout. I didn't say you and i certainly didn't say everybody. I have never had a bingeing issue? So I'll come back to you now. Pizza Natzi's who knew... Sorry you are being attacked. Any topic on low sugar, fad diets, helpful tips and now even pizza will bring out the worst in obsessive MFPer's. I stick to google when I have questions. Google doesn't attack me.
Edit-I saw someone attacked a few weeks ago on a thread about arthritis and diets to battle inflammation. When you have R/A, you will try just about anything to help with the symptoms. She was eaten alive because she was trying a low carb (certain carby foods are thought to increase inflammation) diet.0 -

You can also make individual pizza with an English muffin half and what ever toppings you like. It's a little like deep dish pizza. I got the recipe from a friend who was on weight watchers.

The tortilla in the recipe has 16g carbs, 10g fiber so only 6 net carbs. And that's for the whole pizza. Judging by the entries in the MFP database, this is comparable or less than cauliflower pizza crust.0

I have lost 72 pounds so far eating pizza that I make myself 2-3 times a month. Your insinuation is ignorant and ruder than any other post in this entire thread.
So you keep eating your tortillas and calling them pizza and I'll keep eating real pizza and losing weight.

I'm not the one implying that my way is the only way - you've got that part covered. I just prefer real pizza to substitutes. I shared a good recipe to help people that feel the same.
