    I am new to the cycling sport, I typically run but giving this a try for a change and I might want to try a beginners triathalon. So here goes:

    ...supposed to ride tomorrow for another 10 hours.
    I just now noticed my typo...miles not hours...10 miles today...(embarassed)

    Managed to convince my guest to commute with me to today's baseball game. He hadn't been on a bike in 15 years, so the pace wasn't great. Still, glad to reacquaint him with a 2 wheeler. Hoping to get in a long ride tomorrow when my guests head out for a few hours.

    Hmmm, I could care less about miles but I record them just the same. I'm more interested in intensity and trying to get more efficient since I lost a quarter of my lungs. But I am interested in losing weight so I don't have to haul as much lard over our various Colorado Mountain Passes or haul as much just going up a Mountain - like Mt. Evans. And I figure the less fat the more oxygenated blood will be available to my muscles.

    This past week I was hiking in the redwood national forest, so instead of 180 miles for a week of cycling, I have 39 miles of awesome trail hiking starting
