Quest Bars : What's the Hype?

Anybody in the UK know where I can get a single bar rather than a 12 pack off Amazon? Thought I would try one out first! Thanks.0

I'm in Aus, so my source won't be of any help to you whatsoever, but if you buy a box online you can save some cash. Maybe have a pal chip in? Some flavours are a bit blah, but you'll find ones you love.
They're highly regarded as, unlike some other protein bars, aren't completely packed full of sugar and unnecessary ingredients. As always, they should be eaten in moderation, or in accordance with your training plan, and not as a meal replacement. They're quite calorie-friendly, however proceed with a bit of caution, and perhaps use as a 'treat', rather than a go-to food, depending on your goals.
Thank you!! I'll definitely be using them as a supplement for after my workouts and not a meal replacement!

No. I was just about to say Holland & Barrett, but they only sell it by the box as well. I know why you ask. What if you don't like the flavour? This is what puts me off.0 -
Yes! The protein pic and mix are a UK company and you can buy them individually or buy a multi pack of twelve different flavours (the Quest 'not so dirty dozen' bundle) - great if you want to try them to see which ones you like http://www.proteinpickandmix.co.uk/0

I got the variety pack on Amazon. I eat them because I'm supposed to be getting at least 80 grams of protein each day and I can't eat that much food (medical reasons.) One Quest bar has 20 grams of protein.0

Cookies and Cream. Microwaved for a few seconds. Enough said!0

Ooh variety pack! I'm sold. Thank you muchness!0

Sweet bajesus that website is AMAZING! it makes everything look so yummy...0 -
It took me a while to get used to the taffy-like consistency of them, but I've come to like the coconut cashew and the lemon pie, especially. If you microwave, take them out of the package first! (I learned the hard way, lol). The chocolate chunk microwaved for about 10 seconds does taste a lot like a real cookie.0

I saw they had chips!!! I definitely would not eat the serving size on those!
I know those feels! If you try them I'd suggest going with BBQ, Sour Cream and/or Sea Salt and Vinegar. Those seem to be the popular flavors and I have to agree with them.0 -
If you email them on their website, they will send you 2 free bars (whatever kind you'd like) for free so you can sample them. Great company!0

Amazing!!! I'm doing that right now!!!0 -
Stick them in the oven at 350 degrees for 3 minutes and they puff up a bit and taste kinda like a cookie0

I've tried this a couple of different times-- so far I've never gotten the alleged free samples0 -
I eat my cookie dough ones straight out of the fridge. It's like eating raw dough. I can only have one per week though, I'm sensitive to that fiber they put in it.0

I LOVE Quest Bars! I actually have them for "breakfast". They are high protein, low calorie/sugar/net carb and they taste really good. Some of my favorite flavors are the s'mores, chocolate chip cookie dough, cookies and cream, white chocolate raspberry, double chocolate chunk, and chocolate brownie. I also recently discovered that microwaving some of the flavors makes them even better! Yum!0
-
The hype behind them lies in the fact that they have only 3g net carbs and 21g of protein! Well, the chocolate chip cookie dough ones anyway. They are a fantastic bar to grab for on the go or if I’m feeling lazy on lunch.0

They're basically a Snickers bar with a bit of protein powder mixed in. Tasty, sure, so if that's your thing...have at it.
Personally I don't find them even remotely filling, but that's going to be a personal thing.

They are pretty rubbish - Dont know what all the hype is about but ive bought about 8 boxes now and i dont enjoy them much at all.
Only eat them when i need a fiber boost and protein.
But i can get that just as easy from chickpeas and lentils and real meat.
Microwaved they are rubbish.
I dont mind them in the fridge of freezer for a while so nice and hard.
Cant beat real food.
The only good thing about them i see is if you want a candy bar, have this is a good replacement
Also no truth if they are actually low carb.

Several of them taste fantastic, they don't make my blood sugar spike, they fit my macros, my stomach isn't bothered by the sweetener, and they keep me full between meals. Pretty much a win all around.
The cookie dough and white chocolate raspberry are my favorites. I threw the lemon and apple pie ones in the garbage. (I have friends with the exact opposite opinion, so I recommend trying a variety pack if possible)
For purchasing, I have a GNC membership and wait for a 10% off coupon to stock up. Holiday weekends are good for those.0 -
I looooooooooove Quest bars. Cookie dough flavor, microwaved 20 secs. I struggle to eat only one a day =/0

Yeah usually $5.25 each. My supplement store could have done me a deal of $42 for 12, but they had run out of the flavours i wanted!

You must not be in the US. I mean, they're expensive here but not that bad.0 -
