We have chickens, I eat eggs. We always have Smithfield no fat plain yoghurt, and pork tenderloin in the cart. Pork tenderloin is very cheap and very low fat if you broil it on a rack so the fat drips off. My son can't eat decent cheese or tofu, so don't get to eat that much .
We buy frozen perch, tilapia, and cod to make inexpensive and delicious fish chowders at least once or twice a week.0 -
Nothing different on my list. Egg whites, Greek yogurt, canned tuna, legumes + the usual chicken, fish, pork, beef. In that order.0

What food item is always in your shopping cart, because it's your most valuable, frequently used source of your protien?
Here is an excerpt from one article: "Broccoli probably isn’t the first food you think of when you’re searching for sources of protein, but it does provide protein without any fat. It’s also a rich source of vitamins A and C, and you can’t say that about most animal-based proteins. Paired with other foods that fill-in any missing amino acids, broccoli makes a healthy contribution to your daily protein requirements."
This is why it is always in my cart -- as well as the fact it is a great way to bulk up a meal and leave you full.
