when did you start noticing weight loss?

The first thing I noticed was about six weeks in, I went dancing (I do rock n roll dancing) and a guy led a move with a hip spin - the guy basically grabs your hip bone and uses it to spin you round.....and it didn't feel as squishy.
I can remember crying with shame when my boyfriend was kissing my belly and muffin tops a few weeks earlier so that was a big thing for me. Now I love to show my midriff. Just a little sliver when I try to get things from a high
shelf, makes me feel sexy. sorta wrong but it's not like I'm showing my bum to all and sundry.0 -
It took 2 weeks for me for the scale to move. I'm only 8lb down so far so I don't see a difference but I've been measuring too and have lost half an inch from most places. Several people have asked if I'm losing weight as they noticed my face looks slimmer so that's nice. Just can't wait to see a change when I look in the mirror!0

Maybe I need to measure.0

I didn't notice in the mirror. Pictures told the story for me. Take pictures and take them often.0

I don't see it so much as I start to feel it in weird places. Like my torso starts to feel leaner on the sides just below my rib cage. I always notice it there first after a couple of weeks even if the scale doesn't show much.0

I think I started to notice changes in my appearance in a month, close people noticed around 3 months, and my coworkers, etc. noticed about 6 months in. It helps me to focus on mini goals at a time- lift another 5 pounds, cardio 2x a week, the next size, and so on. I was almost a size 20 when I started, and noticed this morning that my "skinny" 12 jeans are getting loose. Keep going!0

Oh per the scale, I only weighed every 2-4 weeks in the beginning, and my weight loss was a bit faster then and my body changes slower. Now that I am down 53 lbs, the scale is slower but my body changes are coming quicker as I lift heavy and do more cardio. Strength training has made a drastic improvement in my body in the few months that I have been doing it.0

I am 25 lbs down right now and am starting to notice. I am in a smaller jean size so I noticed it in my clothes but everyone else is finally starting to notice as well. I took progress pics every week and there is a definite difference.0

I saw a significant difference at 10 lbs/~1.5 months. It took 3 pant sizes/20 lbs/3.5 months for everyone else to make a fuss about it.0

I noticed a slight difference at about 20 pounds down, but even now, at 44 pounds down, I don't think I see as much of a difference as everyone else does. It's hard to mentally get there0

at 27 days, I just started seeing a difference. That's 11 pounds for me. For the people who write they they know they are smaller, can feel it in the clothing fit, or have gone down in sizes, or have outside people noticing, but can't see it in the mirror themselves, I have the following advice for you.
Find a nutritionist or dietition to recommend a therapist for you to talk to about the issues that you don't realize are causing that to happen. You'll find you don't have to go through life being constantly disappointed in yourself. I'm not saying you're crazy, or have some disorder, just that a little help focusing on your self-image, or minds eye, can go a long way toward making you happy.0 -
It took me about 15lbs before I could really tell. At 20lbs lost people started noticing!0

I noticed on the scale the first week (water weight). I think I started noticing it in clothes maybe around 40-60 lbs lost (since I had a lot to lose). I started noticing it in pictures probably around 60 lbs lost. I've lost 135 lbs now and I still have a hard time seeing it in person unless I'm wearing form fitting clothes - but I'm getting better about actually believing I don't look the way I used to anymore. It's hard to get your mind to catch up with your body sometimes.0
