@elise4270 - awesome on PR! And your monthly miles! I went over mine too - it seems like March is lasting forever. I was thinking this morning... can I roll over some March miles into April? LOL

@ddmom0811‌ right? And I still have 2 days to get in MORE miles. And I laid out this week with a meager 7 miles accumulated. Hmm, perhaps I should check my math.

@SBRRepeat‌ ya, that what he said. He should have beat me by 5 minutes or better. Now I'm impatiently waiting the official results so I can see how many I'm my age group I beat! Muahahahah!

@shanaber Sorry to hear your run didn't go well today. Next one will be better again for sure!

@ddmom0811 : Kudos on facing the cold! Freezing hands are always the worst for me - I finally broke down and bought myself some really warm running gloves - just in time for the weather to get warmer ;-)

@Elisa4270 and @Abakan: congratilations on the great race times!

I tried a new route today and decided I don't like it. I got to gain some elevation (at least in flatlander-terms ;-) ) in a nice flat climb, only to loose it all again in one steep descent down a grassy slope. That was so slippery from the rain that I had to slow to a walk to keep from falling. I need to replan that course before I head that way again...

@abakan Great 10K in the rain!
@ddmom0811 Hope you are enjoying your freezing visit with Mom. I hate when my hands get cold. I brought running gloves, but felt they were useless I went to wearing some ski gloves and hands stay nice and toasty
    @elise4270 Super finish and PR.
@autumnblade75 Congrats on the 5 mile PR

@autumnblade75 Congrats on the 5 mile PR

Thank you. It was entirely unexpected, after all the trouble with my ankle. I think I'm still in shock. The ankle is doing well, now. I think my treadmill is calibrated poorly - 5.5 mph feels difficult, but now I know that I can average 10 minute miles for 5 consecutive miles. So the treadmill MUST be "off." That's ok, I guess, if this is what happens...

I had to walk for a minute just after the 4 mile marker - I got a stitch in my side - but it eased up quickly, and I finished running. It was a pretty good race, very crowded. Way too cold to stand around in the corrals for so long - part of that was my own impatience. 32 degrees walking to the site from the train, 36 degrees on the way back. It started sleeting just before I made it into the train station. I'm glad I was finished running.

Was going to do a 5-6 mile recovery run today, but I took one look at my Brooks and couldn't make myself put them on. I'm due a bike focused training cycle- three months of focusing on run mileage is getting tough.

60 minute yoga class and a 24 mile bike ride for me today. Got caught in a lovely hail storm about two miles from home.

Took a quick weekend trip out of the country, doing my Saturday run on the treadmill, as it was 17 degrees (farenheit) outside and I didn't pack any super-warm running clothes. Still, I ended up waiting until I landed back in my warmer climate before doing my long run super-late tonight. Only 5 more miles to go (planned for Tuesday) to hit my target for the month.

    3/1 - 17 miles
    3/3 - 5 miles
    3/4 - 8 miles
    3/5 - 5 miles
    3/7 - 8 miles
    3/8 - 18 miles
    3/10 - 5 miles
    3/11 - 8 miles
    3/13 - 5 miles
    3/14 - 5 miles (race PR, 7:21 pace)
    3/15 - 12 miles
    3/16 - 1 mile
    3/17 - 5 miles
    3/18 - 8 miles
    3/19 - 5 miles
    3/21 - 5 miles
    3/22 - 20 miles
    3/24 - 5 miles
    3/25 - 8 miles
    3/26 - 5 miles
    3/28 - 5 miles (treadmill)
    3/29 - 12 miles

    Total: 175 miles

I've been suffering with the dreaded Man-Flu. Knocked me right out. In bed by 6:30pm friday, barely been out of bed since. Nutrition gone out of the window, as have any thoughts of exercise. So i think i can call this as my month complete.

    Target: 80km
    Result: 115km

The following PB's were set THIS MONTH (mostly on that last run)
