weight gain

I was 400 calories above my goal of 1200 cal and I checked my weight this morning and the scale shows 2 lbs more as compared to last week.
Instead of that 400 cal cheat,I have not done anything which would lead to the weight gain.I am just guessing that it could be water retention but I am no where close to TOM.
What else could be the reason?

Your weight can fluctuate...this is why I don't jump on the scale very often especially after my cheat day! I would normally wait at least 5 days after my cheat day and not even weigh during TOM.0

For my part, when I consume too much sodium and I do not drink enough water that day, the next day, I often 2-3 pounds more ...0
