Which cereal brands are good for weight loss??

Eat what you want to stay in your goals, however, if you have dietary restrictions (gluten, sugar, food allergies) then that will impact your choices, though you didn't mention. Today I had bread with peanut butter and diced aples in juice, tomorrow maybe I'll have leftovers. Breakfast doesn't mean oatmeal, eggs, pancakes, whatever. It means eating food.0

Not that I even care about artificial sugar...but Im pretty sure thats not remotely true. Thats literally like saying all rice has artificial sugar. No logic in that at all...
Looking at my oatmeal right now:
ingredients - 100% whole grain rolled oats
sugars - less than 1g
I have a strong feeling you are talking about those packaged / processed flavored oatmeals, and a little sad that you dont realize you can get actual regular 100% oatmeal, because you are totally missing out! Yes, oats are really a thing! They actually grow out of the ground and everything! LoL

I'm in the UK so have to rely on overpriced American import websites for my US cereal and chocolate/candy needs.
I assumed they'd be available in most US stores.
PS They are glorious.

Also, what @Dragn77 said RE oatmeal. I sometimes like the packages for convenience, but it’s not that hard to make a bowl of oatmeal yourself. When I was on an oat kick, I made giant cooked batches every week and just weighed it out every morning. Alternatively, overnight oats are as easy as it gets.
On a similar note, greek yogurt with granola-type things on top is a nice option too for higher protein. It’s a good idea to weigh the granola, though, as most kinds are really dense calorie-wise.jigglyjessica wrote: »Cereal just doesn't fill me up

Me, too! I love everything about oatmeal; it's texture, everything. I now make steel cut oats at least once a week. And refrigerator oats. I like adding raisins or other fruit, and instead of milk I now add Greek Yogurt.
But this girl is bored of it so I'm not going to push it. There are so many other choices.0 -
@samiamorisseau is talking about the flavour packets which have sugar in them.
I start with minute oats or big flake oats. This is cheaper and you can doctor them any way you like. The proportion for the microwave is 1/3 cup oats to 1 cup water, three minutes, and watch closely that it doesn't boil over the sides.
If it's any consolation I've checked and the flavour packets contain real sugar not fake sugar.

In general though, I love hot cereals...oatmeal, cream of rice, cream of wheat and cornmeal porridge. Oatmeal most people like, but I do figure if someone doesnt like it, esp whole oats, they definitely arent going to like the other hot cereals...but I think they taste good and very filling.
The cold cereals, yeah..thats just like when I want *a little something*but not actually hungry. Id need to eat at least 2 servings worth to feel like it was an actual meal. And I also dont like overly sweet cereals anyway...rice crispies and multi-grain cheereos is about as wild and crazy as I get LoL Oh wait no...frosted flakes. Once or twice year, I will grab a box of those...0 -
special K red berries- 110 cal for 1 cup.. pretty low in sugar too. with some cashew (unsweetened) milk. yummy.0

Muesli is filling but I can go beyond overboard on it, same with granola, so I stay away lol0

There are a couple that I keep in constant rotation: Special K (not the plain kind, usually the vanilla almond), Honey Nut Cheerios, and Multi-Grain Cheerios. I'm not eating them because they "seem" healthy, I actually like the taste.
If you are looking to an alternative to oatmeal and eggs, have you tried greek yogurt with granola? I will get a container of Dannon vanilla greek yogurt with a 1/4 cup of granola and I am good to go until lunch!

Yup. I love me some sugary cereals, but most of them don't fill me for more than 20 minutes. Quaker Oatmeal Squares are amazing. So much tastiness for such a boring-sounding cereal.

Oatmeal is not boring when you add raisins, walnuts, honey, and cinnamon! I put all ingredients in a mug with water in the fridge then just microwave it the next morning. Perfect pre-race meal.0

Power O's by Love Grown Foods are delicious. They come in Honey, Strawberry, or Chocolate, are relatively low in sugar and are gluten-free as well. They are made from beans and have decent fiber and protein.

I absolutely LOVE cereal and eat it daily (breakfast, lunch, or dinner)! Oatmeal is my choice for hot cereal, but for cold cereal, I love Kashi GOLEAN Crisp Cinnamon Crumble. Yum!!! If I feel like some sugary cereal, I grab some Froot Loops.
I seriously love cereal. If I had some more calories, I would probably grab a small bowl now. I guess I'll have to wait until morning.0 -

I like oatmeal squares, french toast crunch, multi grain cheerios, and so many more. When I could eat diary I love the overnight oats with greek yogurt or greek yogurt with fruit and cereal. I second getting some plain oats and not flavored ones and adding your own things to it. There is even savory oatmeal recipes if you goggle them. Really you can eat whatever you want for breakfast as log as it fits in your goals.

Have you thought of smoothies for breakfast? I'll do those sometimes.
The cereal I keep on hand is Post Good Morning Waffle Crunch. It's not bad considering all it taste like is sugar (but if I remember only 11 g of sugar) and it's got a good range of vitamins and minerals.
Special K also just came out a bit ago with a protein cereal, and I really like their flavors too0 -
I'm about to try Kashi GOLEAN again for its fiber content. I don't normally get enough fiber, so any way I can sneak it in goes a long way.1

I avoid all cereals apart from plain oatmeal as most of the sweetened ones have 17-25% sugar. I saw a flavoured oatmeal with 33% sugar once Also, I don't have a sweet tooth. Prefer savoury.
If I don't have plain oatmeal with stewed fruit, then I have plain greek yoghurt mixed with almond butter or berries, boiled/scrambled eggs, french toast, or english muffins with crunchy peanut butter. Or I just have what's leftover from the night before.0 -
Some days if i dont want oatmeal i will have a thin sliced piece of Daves Killer Bread (It has a ton of whole grains, seeds, nuts etc) which is 60 cal. I will spread thin with peanut butter and then put half a cut up banana on top. SOOOO yum. For cereal its probably not the best but I like Special K red berries with Vanilla almond milk (unsweetened) or plain old cheerios with cut up fruit on it.0
