I like long walks on the beach, wrestling in the sand….wait that's another thread
I LOVE figure skating. It's my thing that I've done forever and will do as long as I can0 -
Sounds like a blast!0

Definitely walking and swimming. I have a waterproof IPod so I turn on my tunes and just zone out while I swim my mile. I tend to not listen to music while walking. I love listening to the birds and just general noise. When there was snow and ice on the ground I did listen to my IPod because I walked laps in my apartment complex' underground parking.0

Sounds relaxing and fun! That's what I love about walking; it calms me, but it is also a great workout.0

Lifting weights. I'm finally starting to "tone". I'm maximizing my fat loss and minimizing my muscle loss. I love my muscles!0

Awesome! I should try lifting.0

I love getting on my bike. I like running and swimming too. They all have their good bits. Biking allows me to see some of the world, running makes me feel in it (I go cross country) and swimming can be hard but its relaxing at the same time.0

I love Tae bo. I'm sweating my butt off and I'm so breathless by the end (well, that starts half way through) but it's so much fun and I can't stop smiling through it.0

I LOVED rock climbing at the indoor gym near us. We actually have a pretty nice one with 20 different belay stations and the routes are marked for a few different skill levels. Haven't been there in a long time though as my husband hates it and you have to have a partner with you.
If you want to finish an exercise and have to lay on a mat for ten minutes because you can't lift your arms and legs, rock climbing is the exercise for you. It's also mentally challenging to some extent. One day I will find a gym buddy to go with me.0 -
I LOVE Leslie Sansone walking DVD's. I have had great results. Usually do them 4xweekly with a day of treadmill and a day that I walk outside.0

For me, long bike rides on hilly back roads are the best, since they combine moderate to intense cardio with exploration and natural beauty. As exercise, running is my #2, though it doesn't involve as much exploring, since I live in the country and there are a limited number of roads where I can run, even for a 10-mile run (and a few that I won't run on because they're narrow, have lots of traffic, or have too many blind curves).
I think of hiking, walking, and canoeing as recreation, not exercise, because I don't get as much of a workout when I do them, but I enjoy them a lot.0 -
