What do you think about when working out?

Im either thinking....1 give it one more rep or 2. I really wanna have sex right now lol0
-
I seem to be focused on my training when doing weights i.e I count the reps, keep reminding myself of the correct form etc.
Cardio is a totally different story...
All kinds of random things go through my mind in this kind of order:
Tomorrow at work I need to remember to do ABC and talk to XYZ about 123
"Cardio is good for the heart"- repeat x10
I love spring the temperature is just right...
If only I was running at the beach

Cardio- trying to get through the next ten minutes
Yoga- breath in, breath out, move the foot a bit, ow my knee gotta ease off, hold ok that burns, breathe in, breathe out, so on and so forth
Lifting- nothing in particular. Usually listening to a book or having the tv on in the background for rests between sets0 -
My workouts are training for performance, so I like to focus on technique or how the end result will improve situational specific performance.0

Running:
Just to go the CVS- i'ts only 0.9 mile sout. well you're already here- go to the wawa.
Okay- fine that's enough. Stop being a little bi*th and run faster.
oh *kitten* that was quick. I wonder if I could do that faster??
Lifting:
I hate lifting.
No you don't. You love lifting.
Why are you here- because you have to keep being awesome. Keep being awesome- you LOVE this *kitten*.
I don't want to do this today- I hurt. Shut up and do it anyway.
Alright- got my head phones on- jump rope- warm up... YES- *kitten* my pants are fcuking falling off. as;ldkfj;alkdjfs;lkj@#$%TADSF
Okay- just go warm up.
Fine.
I'm doing yoga in the squat rack- Please- someone come give me a hard time- I fcuking dare you to.
damnit no one gave me a hard time- guess I actually have to squat.
Fine. no righteous indignation- just squatting.
warm up warm up - god lord this feels aweful.
OH this is better.
Feels good.
*kitten* this is heavy. whatever biathc you're awesome- squat it out.
Why is there no "comfortable heavy"
And why when I breath am I blowing spittal on the mirror. what's wrong with me.
Oh- look the mirror is filthy- clearly I'm not the only one who does this.
I CAN"T BREATHE I CAN"T BREATHE GET THIS BELT OFF GET THIS BELT OFF.
to my neighbor whoever it is
"oh hey- what's up? hows it going? Yeah- good lift today"
yeah buddy...
moving on.
it's a little bit like that. all the time LOL0 -
My thought process usually goes along the lines of 'I'm too hot. Oh god. Come on Mol, sweating is good. HELP. Keep on going for an extra 10 minutes. Etc etc etc.'0

More sex and more sex0
-
Im usually listening to music... and imagining my own music video for the music and doing some really hot dance moves. It has really happened that I lost the rhythm of walking and nearly broke out into dance while doing my walks. I can be a bit silly LoL
When Im doing something more intense though, Im too focused on trying to get my form right to think about anything else.0 -
Life, work, and people watch. Everyone is fair game!0
-
"Please don't puke in front of these people!"0
-
"crap- did those people next to me hear me fart?"
"Does that smell? I can't smell anything. damnit!!!!"

I'm thinking how good I'm going to feel when it's done, if I can lift heavier, if I can run faster, if I can work harder, that pain is only temporary, and most of all, to be the fastest and strongest I can be that day.0
-
With weights, I'm a lot more focused on what I'm doing. With cardio, my mind usually gets lost in the music. I've got a bunch of 80s music on my Spotify list that won't let me walk less than 4 mph so it keeps me on target.0
-
If I'm doing cardio such as elliptical, I pretend I'm at a club dancing.0
-
Am I almost done?0

I used to work out with a personal trainer in a small gym in AZ. The first time I puked he patted me on the back and said, "I bet you're glad you are not at a Golds right now!" I couldn't help but laugh because he was right haha0 -
I think about how cool I'll be when I'm a super hero and fit.
*kitten* I'm sad.0 -
I think about all the stuff I could be doing at home. Like gaming, or sleeping, or just generally being inside.
It's cause I don't like leaving the house....0 -
Well, it depends on the workout for me. If I'm running in the park (usually during the spring or summer when they have the splash pad on), my thought process goes like this:
"Oh, YAY! the waters on!" *Happy Dance* as my warm up.
"No Tyson (my dog) you can't go run around on the splash pad." as he pulls me towards the splash pad.
"Don't trip on Tyson's leash, don't trip on Tyson's leash."
"WATCH OUT FOR THAT LEASH!!!!" Face Plant!!!
"Alright one more lap to go and I can take Tyson through the splash pad!" then I get yanked backwards because Tyson has decided he wants to skip the last lap and just go for the splash pad.
If I'm on the treadmill at home I mainly think about work, what I'm going to cook for dinner, or wishing that it were sunnier or warmer outside so I could run at the park.
If I'm doing a zumba dvd I just think about the next move and try to have fun.
If I'm hiking, my mind is everywhere.
"Oh, listen to the pretty birdies."
"SQUIRREL!"
"DEER!"
"RABBIT!"
"HOG!"
"TYSON DON'T CHASE AFTER THAT!!!"
When I'm strength training or lifting I'm trying not to pass out, or die, or drop any weights on my feet.
And if I'm doing yoga all I think is "Don't fart, don't fart, don't fart, don't fart!!!!" cause that seems to always happen when I do yoga.0 -
I hope I don't totally spaz out and drop this, trip, fall, or otherwise like like a total idiot by not completing this bench press/squat/deadlift/hip thrust and so on. My two left feet try to get me into trouble all the time. Additionally, it feels like everyone is watching me waiting for me to fail. Then I just get over myself and do the work!0
