I don't. LOL Okay, I do sometimes, but I disregard the number because I know it's not real for 3/4 of the year.0

I know I do to I was at 160 now at 162 -_- ugh lol .0 -
I do it because I find it amusing & good to remember that all sorts of things can affect the weight on the scale. Lots of sodium? Up 3 lbs. Drink some alcohol, down 2 lbs (dehydrates me).0

lol For real. Just keep in mind it'll come off just as easily as it showed up.0 -
I didn't for a awhile, but it doesn't bother me anymore.0
-
NO... because I know I'll just see the number go up... sometimes up to 10 lbs that week. I'll wait til the week after.-1

Why not? My weight gain happens 10 days before I start.0

You could have a two pound weight variance just because you haven't crapped yet that day. Weighing once a week or less is probably more effective.0 -
I personally don't like to only because of any little fluctuation in the numbers send me into a state of depression, even more so now because I have lost 104lbs, and to see the numbers scares me, even though it might just be water weight, or because I have not gone to the bathroom yet! So for me I WON'T DO IT!!!!0

I like data. So yes.0

I do but I know it's wrong. I'm usually up 7-10lbs but when it drops back down, I feel good! Ha0

This.
After a couple of months of logging those gains, you'll know when you step on the scale they are not 'real' and they won't piss you off anymore. Also, that when I'm lightest so I definitely weigh in.

I'm not emotionally attached to the numbers, so yes. Plus I like graphs.0

No way0 -
I do because I'm scientifically interested to see what happens to my numbers (and my graph!) when I feel bloated. I won't log it though.0
-
I do, just to keep track, but since I know I'm almost always going to put on at least 1 lb, I'm mentally prepared for it and it doesn't freak me out.0
-
I won't because water weight gain is a real downer, but it can't really be avoided. XD I might for fun, but i'll remind myself it's because of being a woman, and won't record it.0
-
I weigh myself every day. I haven't actually found that TOM causes upward variation for me. Weird.0
-
I weigh everyday, and record my weight every friday. I don't think I have found a direct correlation between TOM and my weight rising though don't pay it too much mind.0
-
Noooope. I just avoid it. But right around that time, I'll randomly be up 4+ lbs, and I'll figure out that lady time is right around the corner0

how do you feel about weighing yourself during your menstrual cycle?
I have to if I want to know how much I weigh now - and I don't want to wait until menopause.0 -
I weigh myself every day. Every single day. I have the fitbit Aria scale and it links to MFP so it is automatically updated daily. I trust the CICO process so fluctuations do not drive me crazy like they do some people. I gain an easy 5 pounds of water during the TOM.0
-
I weigh myself once a week. No matter whether it's that TOM or not. Honestly, with weekly weigh ins… I never have noticed it to have too much of an effect.0
-
Yep I do. I weigh once a week. I mostly do it out of interest to see if I've lost anyway (Which I rarely have) and I log it so I see the bigger downward change the following week. I've found my monthly weight cycle goes
1. Week 1: (TOM) +0.5-1kg
2. Week 2: -2kg
3. Week 3: -0.5kg
4. Week 4: +1kg0 -
Ugh I gain around 5lbs leading up to and during. It's nice when it drops off plus more afterwards though! I still weigh, not sure why.0
-
I weigh myself. I've been doing this long enough that I know when I'll gain from it and when I'll see my lowest/normal weight. If I weigh the Saturday before it starts, I'm up anywhere from 2 to 6 pounds. The Saturday after it, I'm back to my normal weight or showing a loss. (I only weigh on Saturdays. I'm currently maintaining/recomping, so losses scale-wise aren't top priority for me.)0
-
I weigh everyday. I weigh more (stay the same, and don't lose) when I'm ovulating and usually lose a couple pounds quickly right after my period ends. I like seeing the pattern so I can not get down on myself when the weight doesn't come off in the middle of the month.0
-
I know it's completely useless and a waste of energy but I get really annoyed by the effect it has on the whole tracking thing. (Although, this may be because I like order a tad too much!)
I have to increase my calories to TDEE - 10% for the week before my TOM (usually on TDEE - 20%) and so don't weigh myself that week. I'm sooo hungry otherwise and likely to just binge on everything in sight. Then during the TOM week, I'm bloated, water weight etc. so put weight on then too (although I'm back to my TDEE -20% figure). It all seems to disappear quite quickly afterwards but I feel like I'm only getting 'real' readings 2/4 weeks in the month. Grr - nature ay?0
