Not Losing Weight

I have been on MFP since Jan 6, 2015. I lost weight [5 lbs] until the end of January, then went back up. I am a 78 year old Caucasian male, 5'8" Tall.
I started at 233 lbs, am now at 231 lbs. My original target weight loss was 0.5 lbs/week. 30 Days ago I increased to a target of 1.0 lb/week so my target daily calorie goal for the last month is now 1,910 per day and I am consistently 10-20% below that number. I am a meticulous data collector.
NOTHING IS WORKING, HELP!

barring a medical condition or medication issue, you are probably eating more than you think you are0

do you use a food scale and log accurately (by weight with correct entries) and consistently0

I measure my food by volume or by the package calories. For example: Progresso Lentil Soup is 200 calories for the entire can, or one tootsie pop [my daily treat] is 60 calories, or 1 packet of ShopRite diet instant oatmeal is 100 calories, or a large egg is 90 calories, a Thomas English Muffin is 120 calories, etc., etc.0

okay but what about meat, raw fruits and vegetables, condiments, oils, butters, salad dressings, etc.
Again, I would be willing to bet you are eating far more than you think you are.0 -
Food by volume might be significantly different than weighted volume due to caloric and mass density (i.e... a tablespoon of peanut butter is more calories than a tablespoon of honey, but they take up the same volume).0

I have exactly the same problem and the same weight, i ear healthy count everything drink green tea 5 times a day and i can't seem to lose anything0

Your numbers and assumptions may be off. For example, you are off by over 50% on the lentil soup. The whole can has 320 cals, not 200. Combine that with the fact that labels can be 20% off from reality and meet FDA guidelines, that soup could be as high as 380 cal/can.

You are absolutely right, I screwed up by believing the numbers given by this software, i.e. 140 calories per serving
which is what I used. In fact all of my calorie numbers are from this site. So! I can't believe the labels [that's OK, the fix is in] and now I discover that the numbers given by this site aren't true either.....

Well, that's one approach. Of course, there's also personal accountability. I'm an adult, and I have a rough idea of how many calories some foods contain.
Because the MFP database is subject to input from individuals who have varied levels of information and varied levels of interest in accurate reporting, I check the data if a number seems off, or pick a median value and check later.
With generally accurate input (and factoring in the occasional WAG), I've had pretty good success.

or you can take responsibility for your own logging by making sure the entries you are selecting are ACCURATE.
Don't blame your lack of attention to detail on MFP.....0 -
I was in the same position a month back....but yes the food n calories taken here are from various sources..i choose the median.. what i do is have same bkfast most days of the week...i do a research n get exact calories per serving for it.. that way i get a fair idea of a certain food.. then slowly bring in the variety. Its slowly but surely helping me. Its tough to get accurate data especially if u have a busy schedule.. you can increase your goal than your actual n see if it works to your actual goals..0

So, instead of looking at nutritional information on the actual can of soup you were eating, you just used some random entry from this site? You do know there are multiple entries for every food, right?

this is a new one..
OP finds out that the food entries they are using are not correct and then rage quits…
it is usually that OP denies logging is inaccurate and then rage quits…
