Does Slim Shady stand up most of the time?

1 Cat. Joey. He's 14 years old. We're retiring in 4 years and moving to Vegas. He's not coming with us. Planning to travel a lot. Won't have a support system, so he'll have to go. We'll cross that bridge in 4 years.

I have a grey and white cat called Jessie who has two freckles- one on each nostril which is very amusing (she also dribbles when she purrs which isn't quite so amusing!). We also have two African land snails and we did have stick insects but they came to the end of their life span!

1 cat - Abigail Margaret. She's a tabby which makes her DaAbbyTabby or DaAbbyCat. We adopted her from the pet rescue network and she is truly the love of my husband's life (ie not sure which one of us he would save from a house fire first).

Two random-breed rescue kitties. The userpic I have up is Abby, the little one. The other is Zephyr, a big orangey-buff planetoid. My husband has that one as his userpic. Both are spayed females. Abby is a cuddle bug and Zephyr is a strange, temperamental, quacky beast. They are our "babies."

4 Barn/Shop cats, 14 pet chickens, 2 pet ducks, and a random toad that shows up at our pond every summer and then disappears before fall

These pets and the pics and the stories that go with them are adorable. I know what you mean though, LouisaM162, I am sure my husband would save the dog first.....our GSD is his first dog so it 'first love'.....sigh.

I adore my cats - and yes, like others described here - totally different in character and personality.

I have a 4 year old (I think?!) chihuahua called Archie - so tiny and cute, but also hilariously goofy!

My parents have a really, really fluffy cat and a chihuahua terrier that's the same size as the fluffy cat. I plan on getting a cat of my own soon.

    I had a fish, once...

When I'm older and have a place of my own, I plan on getting rescue cats, possibly older ones. I know that older animals struggle to get adopted, but they're every bit as great as younger pups and kittens! You just have to give them a chance. A lot of beautiful healthy older animals in rescue shelters have to be put down because not enough people want them.
