I may be the only person in the universe who doesn't like their breadsticks. But put some garlic bread Texas toast in front of me and it'll be gone in about 5 seconds flat.....

Sounds like you had a great night and made some good choices. Great job!

why does treating yourself to eating something you love have to be a "negative"?

    It wasn't a negative...

OP found a way to incorporate things she loves into her goals and thus they don't need to be "treats".

she's done well in making sustainable lifestyle changes and made some awesome decisions!

    Gtz op! :)

I wasn't the one calling eating the lasagna fritta things she loves so much a "negative"....she did. I was just wondering why it was listed as a negative. it's just food.
As I said up above it wasn't the Lasagna Fritta that was the problem it was the fact that I felt the need to eat four of them. I should have stopped at one or two. Did I need really need four of them? I was stuffed by the end of the meal. ...and that was even with bring a doggie bag home. Just like a bag of chips we don't need to eat the entire bag. The fritta could have come home with me.

I suspect the people latching onto the fact that you used the word "negative" perhaps haven't had the issue of going to a restaurant and inhaling like 2500 calories in one meal. Which I would say is a good thing, though. Hah

lol.....I actually do that. more often at potlucks and bbqs, though. More variety. Of course, I also run a minimum of 20 to 25 km a day, so I'm just eating back my burn....

anyhoo.... I have no idea what a "Lasagna Fritta" even is. 4 of them could be 100 calories or 1000 for all I know, so I was just asking why it was a "negative". My question was answered and that was that. I only responded to that other person because they seemed to think I had been the one to bring up the idea of eating this appetizer as being negative and I hadn't. I was only asking why the OP saw it that way and had already received my answer.

LOL - I'm cheap. I don't like to pay for a soft drink at a restaurant because it's always so much ice. Plus, I'm not a big soda drinker, anyway. I always get water - I have a hard time drinking water during the day, so I figure this is a good way for me to meet my goal. Good job!

Love, love, love the chicken gnochhi soup! Also the lasagna fritta! I usually just get the soup, eat a breadstick or 2, and have the lasagna fritta (which is an appetizer) as my entree. Fills me up (and costs less, too!)
