Relax...live...and learn.
Consider the slow bulk a step function. Go 250-350 cal above maintenance at higher protein macro...get your carbs peri workout. Include cardio sessions in your calcations for energy requirements. Maybe 30-35 min sessions 5 days a week. It will be slow...but you gains. Little...lean out at new weight...your hunger increases...add more calories...gain a little...lean out at new weight...add more calories and repeat. Use this time to focus on programming and maybe improving strength.

It also depends A LOT on your genetics, and where you store most of your fat. Some people have clearly defined abs at 15-20% BF. Some people (me, unfortunately) have to be <10%.
Who has clearly defined abs at 20%?
yes,who?
This guy right here*
Not even implants*
can't be serious...

'Tis true.
Wait..you said not even implants but then it turns out to be implants? Your trolling needs work.

Just starting out on a bulk as well (almost 4 months in) and from what I have been told, what you (OP) are proposing is impossible. As someone mentioned earlier, with the right caloric surplus (not too much so 250-500 calories), there will be minimal fat gain. Best of luck man!0

Maybe for your goals, but not everyone;s goal. I agree they are hard for most but hardly pointless for everybody.

@Hornsby has been recomping, and while it has taken him a while, I believe he is very happy with his progress/results.0
