And why would you even want to eat only oatmeal?
Maybe she's has multiple personalities. Or maybe she's royal.
But it doesn't run in her blood. That kind of lux just ain't for her - she craves a different kind of buzz (<--oatmeal)
God I love you so much.

Right?
And OP, I did silly things like this when I was in my teens and early 20s, it's a hypothetical question because you're not going to make it to day three.
Eh, last time I was sick I ate basically oatmeal for 3 days. It was perfect. (However, Bob's Red Mill is my favorite. Bob can kick Uncle Toby's you know what. Of course, I haven't actually tried Uncle Toby's, but I'm feeling belligerent.)
Of course then I got better and started wanting to eat normally again.
I'm talking more of an intentional monodiet. I've been so sick all I could do was one food for days, but that's different from "I am only going to eat only jello and get so skinny just watch me!!"0 -

At no point- is specifically eating one singular type of food for many days a good idea. Even when you're sick- you have to give your body something to work with.
Also have fun with scurvy.0 -

Whoooooooooaaaaaaaaa I'm not the OP here (see my previous comments). IJS. I was so sick only liquids were doable. You can only hope you're never in the same position.0 -

Oh, I know. I was basically agreeing. (By saying the only situation I can imagine doing that in is when sick. Plus even when sick I added protein powder and berries or bananas, because that's how I make my comfort oatmeal.)0 -
Lots of people eat the same things for breakfast with minor modifications. When you are ready to move on to something else, you will know.

Hi I'm glad you mentioned Scurvy as that's educational and helpful, I googled it and was very surprised I never heard of this ever before ... I want to say a big thanks0 -
I guarantee you, once that morphine is out of your system your appetite is going to come screaming back.
Then, the idea of living off of oats won't sound quite so appealing..0 -
Hi, I been off morphine for 9 days, only have oats for breaky at present...
Still eat other meals but just lost my appetite for sure as used to eat twice as much .. My querie was more hyperthetical one as the oats fill you up .. I am just being very careful as was 103kgs on 8.6.15, and now 98.2kgs this morning and still dropping each day..
I was interested in the oats as seem to help fill up then not needing much else rest of day.. Most days am having a lunch healthy one, then no dinner as just don't feel hungry but tired is what I always feel ...I just had ACL/meniscus operation..I'm in full length leg splint and was not deliberately trying hard to lose the weight I just lost appetite but thought the oats helped with that ...
I drink plenty water, couple of teas a day and one coffee a day in morning...
I am on back 24/7 due to leg splint ACL operation so was surprised lost nearly 5kgs in 11 days...
