Anyone else have plantar fasciitis?? Need advice please!!

There is a lot of good advice here. For me two things helped. High heels and weight loss. I tried the inserts and the exercises and nothing helped. I drew the line at the steroid shots as that was part of what got my overweight in the first place. By 10 am every morning I was limping if I wore flat to low heeled shoes. When I wore 3+ heels it wasn't as bad. After a few months of wearing heels daily my issue virtually disappeared. Once I started losing weight the occasional flair ups went away. I couldn't tell you how long it's been since I hurt like that. I agree with others though, go see a Dr. and get the best medical care you can for it now before it gets worse.0

I haven't had this, but if you for some reason can't run or walk for a while, try cycling..less pressure on bottom of feet. If you can even go to one spin class it will change you. You burn 600 to 1000 calories a work out
doesn't spinning just work your bottom half? I have never done it -well I did try it once but the bike killed my butt so I stopped!0 -
I have plantar fascilitis. At its worst, I went to an outdoor store, and bought an amazing pair of flip flips that mold to your feet - you actually put them in the stove to mold them correctly - and wearing those was instant relief, and helped rehab my feet, too. They were about $50, and well worth every penny.
It does take a long time to go away though, so do the stretches like everyone's saying, and don't give your feet a hard time (no long runs, etc).0 -
This shoe "cured" my issues. I wore them everyday, for at least a couple months, in the house and at work (I walked all day for work) not the prettiest but who cares when you're in pain.

I got mine at Schuler Shoes. I no longer have pain, and I wear them whenever I know I'm going to be on my feet all day. They are slip on shoes, but the form fitting etc. (I also have a high instep) kept them on my feet, I didn't have to hold them on.
Mine are completely worn out and have holes in them, and still make my feet happy!

To be honest, the best thing I did for my plantar fascititis was getting cortisone shots from my podiatrist, and then after that only walking with good shoes with inserts. I still have days where I'm a little achy but I've never had days where I'm limping in terrible pain. (I got my shots in 2011 and I've never had it get that bad again since.)0
