It is a lot, but it was over 15 hours, so 496/hour, and that may include BMR/maintenance cals for another 60-100/hour, meaning the biking alone would be about 400-430/hour0 -

Then maybe a small paragraph saying that, explaining what you did or why. Hell, maybe you wanted to know if you should eat them all back
Instead of just look at this.
ie - was it a race, challenge, for charity?
A little back story works wonders.0 -

I feel a little queasy looking at some of those climbs...0 -
by how many people? 5? And 5 would still be too few.
edit okay I see now awesome job! Give a back story on how those cals were burned!!! I can imagine you had no legs by the time you were done!0 -
that is awesome! I burn some major calories during Ski Season, out there all day long. It's cool to review your stats at the end of the day.0

even though that is not a lot/hour, doing that hour over hour for that duration is a lot. I def could not do it.0 -

You may have been better off posting this in "Success Stories" along with a couple of photos and a description of what you did (which is certainly impressive.)
It did look a bit random when you first posted it

I am learning how to post in here very quickly. I promise to a lot better the next time around.
Thank you! Lots of crazy steep hills. My legs were toast at the end of the day.0 -
197 miles in a day...I'm impressed.0

looks like a great ride with some nice, fast downhills! Must have been beautiful0

Few scary downhills to be exact. Some of them were very technical that required the ride organizers to put road markers to inform the riders to slow down. Unfortunately, a couple riders still took a fall with minor injuries.0 -

lol, people needing a backstory cause otherwise its way too confusing and clicking a link is too what? difficult?0

I'm totally ignorant about these things. Do you eat while you are tackling this feat? I've seen people grabbing water while running/riding. You must take some regular breaks along the way. Either way, 15 hours doing anything strenuous consistently is remarkable. Good for you. And that calorie burn is out of this world. I can only imagine how your legs must have felt getting off the bike ... and then the next day. Some people don't get off the couch for 15 MINUTES a day. Awesome !!0

Hope you followed proper recovery protocols after spending 15 hrs doing endurance cardio....
@Iron_Feline - Bike club stage race, according to a quick google search of the title on the link.
But yeah, more detail might have prompted a different response. Congrats ... takes a lot of dedication and drive to accomplish something like that. I know I'm not into cycling enough to even consider a 5k, let alone completing a high mileage circuit race.
