In the past there have been threads that are thankful to the mean people of MFP. People that are honest and blunt are often mistakenly labeled as mean people. Some users get upset and hurt, they step away for a bit and then realize that the mean people were actually trying to help them.
I apologize for temporarily derailing your apology thread. Now, back on topic.
I think it's awesome that you are taking responsibility for your health. That's a huge step.0 -
Awesome! It's a great lesson to learn.
In my experience, I couldn't lose weight until I got out of my own way. When I was in excuse making mode, I was powerless. When I realized it was my fault (my weight is a result of my choices and actions), I became unstoppable.
People think we're being mean when we say stop making excuses. We're not, we're trying to empower you. So glad you've joined us.0 -

Your life is important girl, and as long your open minded and try, you will get there
It wont be always easy, but think positive even when it is hard.
When you fail...step on track the next hour or day...that is how we all do it.
We aren't without mistakes...but we learn from them and use them to bent into a positive learning curve
YOU WILL GET THERE TOO
PROUD OF YOU!0 -

TSH normal T3 normal. T4 was high. I also have a vitamin d defeciency. Dr didnt give me anything for my thyroid or Vitamin d levels. See a endocrinologist on the 24th.
Cool. Let us know what the endo says.

So, you're eating 1200 calories, doing cardio 5 days a week and weight lifting. That's great! If you find yourself feeling weak, tired or if you get dizzy, eat more! You break no laws if you eat 1200 and net less, but you have to eat enough to remain strong and healthy.
Did you go to the doctor and what did he say?
Oh why do you have to be negative. sheesh
kristin is learning!!!!
And she tries really hard!
Good job Kristin! Keep going you will learn more and more. Its not that we all here just did it. We learned too. And the biggest learning curve is to discover how YOUR body reacts.
There was no negativity on my end. If it came across as negative, I apologize. It wasn't intended.0 -
Im glad I made this post. You are all so encouraging.0

Weight loss is not linear. Some weeks you do everything right but maintain, or even gain. Others you lose a whole lot in a "whoosh."
So please don't panic when (not if) the scale goes up. Just keep up the great work, and look for a downward trend. Take measurements and progress photos, too. They'll show you the truth when the scale is being a lying liar who lies.0 -
Great news and well done for coming to post back. Other posters will take notice. Keep it up.0

First of all, congrats on takign the advice and applying it to your life! You will do well.
I have to address the bolded, though. Many things will cause you to gain water weight and sometimes that water weight will stick around (I personally skip weigh-ins the week before my period for this reason). Just come to an understanding of how the things you do affect your body (extra carbs or sodium, different exercise, not enough water) and the scale will stop being a total bummer!0 -
@barbecuesauce thanks for the advice.0
