Walking considered strength training?

Yes I know..its not lifting any considerable weight but it does eventually build muscle in the legs. So should it be considered strength training?

No. And if you're eating at a deficit, you're not building muscle anyway.0

Nope, particularly if you're losing weight (though not at any stage), as you will be decreasing the weight you "lift". The idea of strength training is to work muscles more than normal. Walking is normal.0

I've been walking over 10 miles on most days for months. I have noticed zero definition in my legs0

I would say it is muscular endurance training, but not muscular strength training.0
