Quest Bars?
I've heard tons and tons over and over again about quest bars, about how amazingly good they are (baked toasted microwaved raw etc etc).
I finally got my hands on some.
I tried the cookies and cream, cookie dough, s'mores and white chocolate raspberry.
They weren't as good as I thought they would be- at all. They weren't bad, but they had such a strong proteiny after taste at the end (which didn't suck) but I didn't really LOVE them.
Is there anyone else out there who didn't really like quest bars or is it just me? (My sister thinks I'm crazy, she loves them).

yeah besides the fact that they currently don't fit in my budget once I got in my hands in them yeahhh it wasn't the big bomb that many describe and I even tried the whole 10 seconds in the microwave.0

I feel like there must be something wrong with my taste buds0

I've been drinking protein shakes for ever and eating protein bars forever and there is nothing on this earth better than a quest bar for a protein pick up.............they are a God send on they keep me on the strict eating path0
-
I'm kind of the same way. I can take them or leave them. I'm not super big on sweets so that may be why though.0
-
I have never tried one but like you I hear about them all the time.. well, the store had them on sale 10for10, which I don't even know if that is a "sale price"..lol.. I picked up a couple to try, but haven't yet. Good to hear they weren't disgusting just mehhh.
I didn't even think to heat them, I assumed like granola bar, raw.0 -
Yep, I haven't found I like either. Had maybe 4-5 different flavors. The good macros just aren't worth the nastiness for me.0

I was told they'd change my life....they didn't
That was the weirdest convo I've ever had. but ya they are ok but I'm not running out and buying them all the time0 -
Yesterday I got one and said to my self ok just give it one more try cause people swear by them, got the cookies and cream bar , and no no I'm done , they are just not for me0
-
I'm already thinking about just giving them to my sons.... they will eat anything !0
-
Not a big fan of them myself
Chocolate mint is ok0 -
Gah I hate quest bars. Try muscle pharms combat crunch bars. So much tastier and pretty much the same macros0
-
I've never had them either, was curious what all the hype was about. I'm a LaraBar girl. Every day.0

The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was the one I got hooked on, it is the texture of cookie dough, so it worked for me.
I did find that eating too many can lead to way too much restroom time!0 -
They don't suck, but they weren't half up to what I expected. I would eat them for the protein if I couldn't find an alternative though.0

i rather eat some meat than fake bars.0

True_ but I can't cook. At all. Not proud of it, lol0 -
25g of carbs
20g of protein
17g of fiber
1g of sugar.
Of course they don't taste like cookies with m&ms in them but, they are pretty tasty and no other bar can match those numbers.0 -

anyone looking to add protein to their macros and satisfy a sweet tooth at the same time would say this exact same thing............

Chocolate brownie and cookies and creme are my favourite.
Although I love them all lol. Peanut butter cup was probably my least favourite0 -
I love Quest bars!
I had an appointment with a dietician a while back, and when I said I use Quest bars to increase my protein intake, he did an Internet search and pulled up the nutrition facts of a Quest bar and a Snickers bar. He intended to show me that protein bars were little more than expensive candy bars. (True for many bars.) Then he actually looked at the macros and said, "Oh." lol0 -
The only one I have found that I like so far is the Peanut Buttercups0

I think this is the point that most people are missing when they don't understand how good these bars really are. They definitely are one of The better tasting bars but nutrition wise they are out of this world compared to every other bar. 17 g of fiber… That's unreal.
Cookies and cream and Smore's are my favorite.0 -
My faves are cookies and cream, cinnamon roll, and banana nut. I only eat 1/2 a bar at a time for a snack and it really helps me reach my fiber goals.0

Exactly! I've not found a bar that comes close to those macros. Plus I can keep one in my purse without it melting all over the place on a hot day, since it doesn't have a chocolate coating.0 -

This actually opened my eyes. Thanks a bunch everyone!0 -
I've tried 17 of the 18 flavours. Only one I haven't tried is Mixed Berry. A lot of them, I don't care for. But Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookies and Cream are definite winners for me. My third favourite would probably be Strawberry Cheesecake or PBJ (Strawberry Cheesecake gets the slight upperhand because of the lower calories and sodium content). Very decadent tasting. Especially when you consider the macros, they're quite delightful.
Mint Chocolate Chunk, Cinnamon Roll, Banana Nut Muffin and Apple Pie are pretty good. The rest are pretty 'blah' to me.
I already have a box of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookies and Cream and am looking to get a third box (Strawberry Cheesecake). I eat these as treats. They're like candy bars to me0
