Oh boy.........this isn't going to end well.0

oh no!! why? did i say something wrong? lol0

The only people who seem to care for Shakeology around here are the people trying to sell it. You might take a peek at previous posts on the subject or see if there's a group or something that might help.0
-
okay, I guess people on this board do not support it? I signed up for it because it is a quick meal, I am a mother of 2 toddlers and thought it was a good idea.0
-
My advice on the product? Save your money. It's an MLM scam.
And don't be surprised if you get PMs from people telling you how wonderful it is, because ulterior motives.0 -
I just wanted recipes lol.. thank you0

lots of people on here do the shake, and you can google recipes. If it helps you than go for it. I am with the rest, don't believe in it. But everyone has to find their balance. I wish you much success.0

save your money....its a scam.........the losers that promote that garbage are a bunch of snake oil salesmen......they are in some kind of cult......fixation on a useless product
just eat healthy and moderation........I lost over 90 lbs and didn't use that garbage........best wishes0 -
try their website if you'd like recipes. it would probably be a better resource
me, I would avoid the product and make my own versions. even make a batch ahead of time and freeze the extra servings.0 -
If the product was quality and good bang for the buck, I don't think many people would object. I prefer to eat my calories rather than drink them, but that's my personal preference.
But Shakeology is high priced *and* low quality. Plus, it being an MLM marketing scam pretty much gives it three strikes and you're out.0 -
Before I say anything about Shakeology, I'll actually provide you with some resources that you asked for: People are hard on Shakeology here because it's overpriced and makes a lot of claims. Posters come to the boards and rave about to in order to sell it to naive members who think they need it to lose weight. Some people who use it swear by it without realizing that it's not the Shakeology making them lose weight, but the fact that they're replacing a meal with it. You can accomplish this with any protein powder, honestly. There are cheaper Shakeology dupes out there as well. However, Shakeology is what you have and need to use right now, so enjoy the recipes if you use them.0
-
I have researched Shakeology alternatives before when I was considering actually paying an arm and leg for Shakeology. Vega One and Garden of Life Raw are both comparable protein powders with LESS sugar that cost LESS money!0

@RMCottonRPh Yep; you're right on the money. I mentioned dupes, but didn't list any. I actually have Vega All-In-One Nutritional Shake in French Vanilla and Chocolate and I have the Garden of Life Raw Meal in Vanilla. I love all of them and the Vega is honestly the closest dupe ingredient wise. It costs $25-$60 for 10-20 servings instead of 30 servings for $150 like Shakeology.

It depends on what flavor you are using really. I mix bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and black berries in a lot of mine.0

Google "protein balls" or "protein pancakes" for ideas. I know other protein powder sellers like Quest have recipes on their sites too.
But you can buy protein powder at the store for much cheaper. Personally, I like putting a scoop with two cups of coffee and one cup of milk. 255 calories for the brand I use and skim milk.0 -

I dont think that is very fair or nice to jump all over this person for their decision to try something that maybe is not for everyone. We are all unique and what works for one person may not work for another but isnt that ones personal preference?
Knowledge is power, educate yourself on what you think is best for YOU, NOT what other people deem appropriate for YOU.0 -

Um, where, exactly did I "jump all over this person?" Informing them that the product they are about to start is highly overpriced garbage is doing them a favour.
And yes, there are lots of people who troll this site looking for fresh meat to sell this kind of crap to. It happens all the time. The PMs are, "Oh I *love* <inset name of scam here,> too!! I've sent you a friend request!!!
You defending this MLM scheme product makes me wonder why you would take such offence to people giving her a legitimate heads up.0 -
Thank you to all for your advice.
I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions0 -
Its snake oil.
Over priced garbage.
Please tell whomever sold this junk to you that you have learned about it now and will want your money back.
You can find better quality products at your local store for half the price.
Its a mlm scam0 -

We are not jumping on anyone. We are trying to educate her so she won't waste her money on this mlm trash. We don't want her to be fooled. Nobody is being mean , were being honest0 -

Its actually because I am a successful coach who has been drinking Shakeology for over 2 years. and again, I understand that people have thier own opinions and i GET that its not for everyone. But isnt that up to the individual to decide that for themselves?
Its true that NEW coaches are on this site and talk to people about the programs and products and you will also see that there are PLENTY of people who use them.
Like I said before, knowledge is power and its up to the individual to research and investigate for themselves to determine what is right for them. Just like I would never put down something that you are into or enjoy eating/drinking.

Exactly what I thought.
The only people that defend mlm scams are the ones that make money from it. Never fails !
We don't want your snake oil , peddle elsewhere please.
For weight loss, all that's needed is a calorie deficit . not over priced ,low quality mlm products.
I can buy better protein powder at my local store for a fraction of the price.
Preying on naïve is not a good way to make money.
Shakeology coaches have no training or knowledge, anyone can become a coach. ( if we wanted to stoop that low ) so to anyone reading , stay far away from these mlm scam peddlers0 -

You are absolutely correct when you say "knowledge is power."
That is exactly why everyone that has responded to the OP has tried to inform her that shakeology is just an inferior protein powder that is highly overpriced. I can buy about four of five two pound tubs of the protein powder that I use, whose ingredients are far superior, for the same cost as one of the shakelology tubs.
...so you are absolutely correct, knowledge is power.
(notice how I didn't name drop which powder I use? That's because I'm not trying to sell anyone anything.)

The only reason that you're losing weight, is because of Calorie Deficit; not the shake itself. Drink it over your Calorie Deficit & you'll either maintain your current weight or gain weight, from it. It does nothing to help one lose weight, that any other food can do; when eating in Caloric Deficit. The only thing that it does do, is provide variety of foods; to consume but other companies produce the same type of shakes, as well but for a lot less money.0
