Silly question perhaps, but where does the fat go?

I might seem silly, but I was wondering, does fat just melt away and we flush it out? (Is that why they say drink a lot of water when dieting?) I think heat is involved somehow but if fat is on/in our bodies what happens to it when we lose it?

Yep, this. There was a video floating around with the same info, but I can't find it at the moment.

But mostly CO2, and some H2O.

Yes me too! !! It sounds dumb but is in fact a really good question. .. I was told that sweat is melting fat! ! I actually believed it at first. ..how dumb am I lol!!!
