I've lost almost 9 pounds so far and I've heard a few people say to recalculate your calorie goals every ten pounds or so. Do I need to do that, or does MFP do it for you? Thanks!

  • Also, I'm at around 1700 calories a day right now with it set to lose 2# a week.

It adjust automatically after you lose so many pounds, I forget the exact number. You can "force" it by going into your settings (update fitness profile) and redo the process of changing your goal weight loss per week as if you were gonna change it but not actually changing anything.

Please see this article, and search for other helpful articles, on the MFP Help pages...
