Advice needed

I have been on MFP for about 3 months now, I have lost 7lbs with another 13lbs to go to hit my target. I recently bought a Fitbit and am on average at 13k steps per day. I am really trying hard but my weight doesn't seem to go any less than the 7lbs.
I count everything and I'm measuring my food and exercising daily but something isn't working. I currently have the implant in, but I'm not sure if that is somehow delaying the weightless. Can anyone give me any advice on how to lose the other 13lb? My weight seems to go from 10 stone 12lbs (my weight after losing 7lbs) to 11stone 4 (I was 11 stone 5lbs before deciding to do something about it)
I'm losing motivation and really do not want to. This is the only way of losing weight that I find works.

What is your calorie intake?
Will you open your diary?
How are you measuring your food?0 -
Please open your diary. How long have you been stuck here? When you walk 13k steps a day, do you add this in as exercise while having MFP set as lightly active?

Currently MFP recommends 1300 calories a day, but recently I have started following my Fitbit app, basically the more exercise I do, the more I can eat. I'm not sure if the Fitbit app is calculating this correctly though. Yeah I'll try open my diary. I'm measuring my food with a scale plus adding a little bit more than I've consumed to make sure I'll loose but it's not working.0

Ive been stuck here now about 5 or 6 weeks, no I actually forgot to add the 13k steps to MFP. I take it 13k steps per day isn't sedentary and maybe I should change this? I'll try and open diary now0 -

You don't list your weight or percent bodyfat, so I cannot calculate your BMR, but you re probably just eating a hair too much.0

Your logging is off. 1/2 cup of beans can be way out calorie wise. Also using generic scrambled eggs doesn't work. You don't know how much milk they added or what size eggs.
You have a few days where you are over calories by a few hundred and days where you are not completing the diary.
You need to be more accurate with your logging and the weight loss will come0 -
Another vote for tightening your logging. A lot of days you only have a few food items entered - is that really all you ate? You should weigh everything and avoid generic entries.0

Ok thanks for the advice, the days that I go over by a few hundred are days that I have done abit more exercise, MFP only calculates my iPhone steps and most of the time I don't have my phone on me, so I'll follow the Fitbit because I always have it on me. Most of the times I try and add abit extra on MFP even though I know I havnt consumed that much.

Your logging is off.
Weigh everything with a food scale.log it accurately0 -

Why logging accurately is EXTREMELY important. Invest in a food scale, preferably one that measures grams.0 -

Tighten up your logging, and start doing Fitbit challenges—they're great motivation + fun.
Your Fitbit burn is TDEE (total daily energy expenditure), the calories necessary to maintain your current weight. If you eat less than that, you will lose weight.
Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
Set your goal to .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided
Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
In the MFP app, go to More > Steps and choose Fitbit.
You can learn more (and find friends for challenges) in the Fitbit Users group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users0 -

Wow thank you for such a detailed answer, this really helped me. I'm going to buy a food scale and start measuring everything. I've also connected my Fitbit too

This is my calories in vs calories out according to the Fitbit. Calories in is in yellow and calories out is in grey. So it must be the weighing.0

No need to log any step-based activity—your Fitbit is tracking it for you. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in Fitbit or in MFP—never both. Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time. (So I log exercise in Fitbit.)
If you connect your Fitbit with Trendweight.com (it's free), you'll see a moving average of your weight without the "noise" of water weight. It really helped me lose the weight + maintain.0 -

Logging is simple, but it ain't easy. Weigh everything rather than using cups & spoons (including spreads, oil, and packaged foods).
Learn to identify accurate database entries. Anyone can put in anything they want, and using a low-calorie entry will never get you closer to goal. Never, ever use anyone else's "homemade" entries—some people are downright delusional.
Use the recipe builder. In the app, go to More > My Recipes & Foods > Recipes > + (at top right).
When you scan a barcode, verify the entry against the label. Also, weigh the food. If the label says 1 serving = 100g and you've got 150g, that's 1.5 servings.Littleowl101 wrote: »Do I have to have a wifi scale for trend weight?
Nope. Just a Fitbit or Withings account. (Some people even set up a Fitbit account just to use Trendweight!) MFP sends your weight to Fitbit, and Fitbit sends it to Trendweight.0
