Slang for the men's room + a hotel chain (different spelling) / moving like a turtle + rotating = artist / song

I just happen to be listening to this right now. Bonus hint. The song mentions the drummer of a very well known band.

I just heard this on XM.

Life of _____ + _____ Family + you dog might do this when you whistle = [artist/song]

The spelling doesn't quite match up but someone will get this. There are a couple clues I can add to narrow down the blanks.

The first segment refers to a Monty Python movie.
The second segment refers to a black and white comedy that fits with Halloween.
The song is the last segment.

Plus, he's from Canada, so Billy should jump all over this one.

    This might help:
The frozen dairy treat includes soda pop.

I found what could be the group, Temptations. Maybe that'll help someone or mislead them if I have it backward.

I was thinking 'Ice Cream Man' by Van Halen. The year 72 would fit, but they're from Pasadena.

    Song title/ group

Sorry, Pat, not the Temptations nor Van Halen, Billy.

Song hint: soda pop is an ingredient in the frozen dairy treat.

Group hint (this should seal the deal :D ):
    Walter & Donald

    Right group @sunn_lighter!
And Pretzel Logic is a great song but not what I'm thinking of...

    And get out of here"

I took the extra clues for me. There is some Steely Dan in my collection, but no Black Cow.

One of The Traveling Wilburys + a parachutist does this for part of the jump = [artist/song]

Assuming I am correct, I'm going to change up the genre a bit, but hopefully make it easy (it's that pesky ear worm thing again :D ):

Common table top seasonings (different spelling) / Octogon sign + ____ the envelope

I apologize, I'm adding words to the song title.
    Forget the Octogon, it's just:
    ____ the envelope + It
