What are some good headphones to use while running?

    I recently picked up these:

    and I think they're great! Solidly stay in place, comfortable and the sound is excellent. Replaced a more expensive set of Bose in ear headphones that wouldn't stay put. These Sony ones sound just as good, and that's pretty darn great in my book!

    Just bought these two weeks ago. They stay in which I find most ear bud styles do not.

    I've purchased a similar thing - they are the best, I was fed up of the standard ones falling down my ears with sweat and rain.

    it's all about Bluetooth headphones, I got a pair over a year ago and now the thought of running with normal wired headphones makes me sad

    I need waterproof ones for swimming and have had really good luck with the Audioflood earbuds. The cords are only 6" (can be stretched to 15") so they don't get in the way. I started using them for my walking too because they stay in the ears and cancel out other noises.

    I think bluetooth is the way to go. Obviously more pricey but much easier for almost any exercise. I got an inexpensive set ($70) Jabra. They work fine

    Check out the wirecutter, they have all kinds of 'tested' products. http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wired-exercise-headphones/ for example. Personally I went for the 'budget' version on this page and they work great!

    I like the yurbuds for women. They stay in my ears, which is pretty much my only requirement at this point. I don't really care about sound quality so I can't say whether they are good or bad at that. I'm one of those people who can happily listen to a static-y AM radio station.

    With all of the headphones I've had I've replaced the tips with comply foam tips. You compress them and put them in the ear so they expand and add isolation. It also helps them to stay in the ear when running.

    Also I love the wireless headphones as well now that I have them. The wires always use to bother me.

    The Sony ones I posted above come in bluetooth version as well as wired. They're also waterproof.

    Does it matter which wireless headphones you get for the foam tips?

    I need to get a blue tooth headphone because I'm tired of cable issues while running, but I want to make sure I can get the foamy ear things to fit them because I love those....

    I need to save this thread! Just lost my earbuds, which were the only ones that stay in my ears (for the most part) - Apple brand. Any of the regular shapes earbuds get "squeezed" out of my tiny ear hole within seconds. Never mind trying to run with them. Now I'm looking for a pair that both fits in my ears AND is wireless.

    Jaybird BlueBud X headphones with tips from Comply. These cost a bit more but they sound better than anything else I have other than my even more expense on ear headphones. The Comply tips make them stay completely still in my ear. You can't beat them.

    I believe the new version comes with Comply tips in the box. Otherwise you have to order them separately.

    I have both the wired and BT YurBuds. Once you figure out how to use the "twist lock" feature they stay in very well. I also find them comfortable, but everyone is different. For some, this is a negative, but for me the main reason I got the YurBuds is that they do allow ambient sound to come through. To me, this is very important, particularly when cycling. As for sound quality, not bad. Are they as good as my high-end audiophile headphones? No, but they are better than Apple earbuds, and as I mainly listen to audio books when working out it is not much of an issue.

    I just got the Aftershokz Bluez 2 Bluetooth bone conduction headset. I love it. It, transmits sound via vibrations to your cheekbones (doesn't go in your ear or cover your ear. It's lightweight, repels sweat/water (not waterproof) & you can still hear everything around you making it a safer option for running outside. I find it very convenient and comfortable to wear. I paid about $120 Cdn. For it.

    The only downside is that the music quality isn't as good as a good pair of regular headphones because it can't hit the bass notes because sound travels via vibrations.

    I have the Bluetooth Beats wireless headphones, they are made for sports and exercise. I love them, sound great and stay put.

    Over the ear works best for me. I wear something similar to this that's also sony brand, but is open on one end.

    No. They will only pair to one device at a time.

    Sorry to take so long to reply. Their website has a feature where you could look up the compatibility with the headphones if you need. I just love the foam tips though. I have them on all my headphones.
