My great grandmother's way....tomato, onion, celery and jalapenos. Just a little mayonnaise and I usually add some mustard...preferably spicy!

I make mine with minced garlic, onions, dill, pickles, pepper, a little salt and mayo or plain yogurt. YUM!! Now I want one! It's even good on a bed of lettuce instead of bread.

    Hi Max

I like mine fairly simple - just celery and low fat mayo.

Not too much mayo, or I blow all my calories in one sandwich.

I also pile it high with lettuce and a couple of slices of tomato.

That and some whole wheat bread and I can almost imagine it is healthy..

When I eat it, I like it with enough mayo to make it nice and moist and with pickles. On soft bread with a little salt and pepper. Sometimes I put celery in too. No egg.

    I'm pretty simple.
    Mayo and lots of pepper!!!!!!
Sliced tomato, sometimes lettuce on toasted light wheat bread.
If I'm feeling really bad, I'll throw a piece of cheese on there. :blushing:

I bascially do the same thing, Tami. I would like it with eggs but usually when I make tunafish, its done quickly and I don't take the time to boil an egg.
I like hard boiled eggs but don't like them in tunafish for some reason. Not sure why. And I like both dill and sweet pickles. Just depends on my mood on any given day.

i make 18 hard boiled eggs every weekend, so that whenever I want one (without the yolk is 17 calories  ) they are sitting right there in my fridge. saves me from a less righteous snack often!

*oh yeah, i forgot to say a little sugar with the black olives, apple, raisin. so good. Especially on sourdough.

Never had it with mustard but I like it with sweet pickles, too. What is Tony's chachere?
tonys is cajun seasoning, its perfect for everything, if you come next door to these parts get some!

I like mine with just a little bit of Blue Plate mayo, mustard, eggs, dill pickles & Tony's Chachere's. I like to eat it with the flip side crackers. Yummy. It's what I'm having for lunch today on a bed of lettuce. P

Tuna, light mayo, boiled eggs, dill pickles, granny smith apples, s/p -- but on saltines, not bread. My college roommate always made French fries to eat on the side.

I like tuna.....hmmmmmm lunch idea for tomorrow

    Ok.....:smokin:
tuna with hellmans (lowfat now but used to be regular)
I like quite a bit but not too much. Makes the bread soggy
dill pickles chopped up and mixed in it,
a little bit of Frank's Red Hot (love hot sauce  )
    on bread...
sometimes I add lettuce and lowfat cheese too ....
and toast the bread sometimes too...melts the cheese...like a tuna melt
sometimes no cheese depends on the mood I'm in th_smalldancingman.gif

    The End.

My tuna sandwich goes like this:
    tuna -- duh
drain most of the juice (not completely)
    lemon pepper -- a dash
nuke it for a few seconds and eat with a fork.. nuking kills the excess juice in the tuna
    ...i hate bread!

First of all let me just say that I had no idea that there were so many options when it comes to the classic tuna sammie! (Max you're a genius for coming up with this topic! ) I'm impressed, and a little embarrassed to say that I usually am pretty boring with my tuna concoction -- drained tuna, a little light mayo, relish, onion, salt and pepper, served on whole wheat bread and voila! Sometimes I'll mix it up and add a slice of FF cheese, but I'm usually pretty lame-o when it comes to this one.

However, after reading all of these tasty options (I especially like the thought of adding apples and grapes to it! Yumm-o!) I'm going to start thinking outside the box a little more often...!
