Food, but not scale related: With the last bag of potato chips and dip I bought, I measured out one or two servings of each over three days instead of mindlessly munching through the whole thing in one sitting.2

I'm having the same problem. And when I got them bigger, after he proposed, the place charged bc they were gonna have to use "sooo much gold" for my fat sausage fingers. I'm not sure when I should have them resized. I have over 100lbs left to lose. I guess I'll need to get one of those cap things. But I have a unique setting so I don't know how it will work.0 -
in the last year my A1c went from 7.5 to 5.9 and I am off 2 medicines. One of which cost $200 a month.4

Then I saw my labs on my blood tests, and compared them to tests over the last five years. My cholesterol and triglycerides are waaaaaaay down and within the normal range. He said "not yet" on those drugs, but I see them disappearing in the near future as I continue to drop weight and eat healthy.
But the best one was that I have been pre-diabetic for several years. My numbers are now within the normal range - I AM NO LONGER PRE-DIABETIC!!!!!
That is an awesome feeling! good for you...don't stop!!!0 -

You're a better woman than me! Chips and dip are still on my "banned from the house because I can't be trusted" list.

Since I am 30lb from my goal, and we will start a family soon...I'm waiting. My husband lost 20 pounds and is wearing a $50 filler ring since his no longer fits-his original ring flies off (and was exponentially more expensive)! Our rings are both engraved so we want to keep the resizing to a minimum! If mine get really lose, I suppose I'll have to get a sizer plastic things you were talking about.
I want this spare tire to shrink, not my 6.5 size finger!
ETA: I forgot, I have another NSV to share! The smallest jeans I ever wore years ago after losing 70 lbs fit last night! I had regained about 30lbs-but now Im the same scale weight! I have been trying them on for years, putting them back, cant zip them. They FIT. I could even put my hands down them while zipped!
Mind you, I'll never wear them since they are hip hugging *kitten* showers and I'm too old for that, and I have a spare tire still...but they fit my hips and waist! Incredible!2 -
I'm not 100% sure this qualifies, but here goes. Since I began losing weight, I've been thinking of how much I weigh in terms of the weights of athletes, particularly football players. NE Patriots players. So I started out less than Vince Wilfork, more than Tom Brady.
Well! Today, I have to pick another athlete's weight to shoot for! That is because today, I am as close to Tom Brady as I'll ever get.4 -

Love it! I am sure our furry friends notice changes too!1 -

When you have them made smaller, make sure you ask for the gold they removed. I love seeing their faces when I do that!4 -
one point off of a healthy BMI
I am at my lowest adult weight
A woman in a clothing store offered to get me a size 8AUS and when I told her that I am a 10 (me, a 10!), she actually gasped and said "but you're tiny?". I'm still working on making her guess correct
Not so good NSC, I've lost a shoe size somewhere along the way and none of my heels fit now. Boo0 -
I had to make another 2 Notches on my belt for it to actually work! Feeling pretty good with this one!!!2

Today I kept having to hike up my gym pants- pants that used to be almost too small, despite being stretchy. Today I was in danger of having them fall off in the gym. The time for new pants has finally arrived.0

Irritating and yet you have a small smile inside while pulling them up. I had this happen to me this week. I only have one suit that I usually wear first day of trainings. So I delivered a training in late August and the suit was fine; maybe a bit tight when closing the jacket. This week I was doing another training and kept on pulling up my pants and rolling it at the waist. Definitely time to update0 -
I ran five miles today! I have never run that far.5

At work I have a student-young enough to be my daughter. She is a runner.
After work on Friday I showed her the trails with steps. We walked but it is good climb up the steps, through the orchard and down the steps and back to the office. It took us 25 minutes and we went at a good pace.
A good work out for me and now she knows the trail to run.1 -
Wow looking forward to adding to this thread. Thanks for the inspiration.0

Today while out my newborn son had his diaper leak which resulted in him peeing all over my pants. This particular pair of pants has become my favorite comfy pair but my husband had been commenting on how baggy they were. We had somewhere to be so I had to go buy pants for me. I grabbed the 22W (US) being hopeful that they would fit as the one pair I had at home that size had finally started too. I tried on 3 different pairs of 22s three different styles and they all fit even loose to the point where I knew after 1 day they would be baggy on day 2. So my dear husband went and picked out 2 different style size 20W (US) and low and behold they fit and well too. I couldn't bring myself to get them as they weren't on clearance and the point was to just find a quick outfit to replace the one my son had piddled on but they did fit and I had to get a new top which is now a women's size 1. This is a far cry from the 26W (US) and 3x/4x tops I was wearing 70lbs ago. Makes me super excited.4

Woo Hoo and Wow de Wow for you! Congratulations!
Talk about turning lemons into lemonade!
I've been buying most of my clothes in thrift stores cuz I just can't bring myself to pay full price. I've gone from a 24 to ALMOST a 14. Still have 39 pounds to go so I'll still be shopping 2nd hand for a while .1 -
I'm still going through this thread - there are some great successes here!
My recent ones:
1. I finally got to triple digits on an upper body weight workout tonight - 100 lbs on the lat pull down! I'm hoping this one will help me eventually help me do a pull-up. I'm not too far from my goal weight.
2. I was called a "beast" in the gym. One of our daughter's teachers works out at the same gym and he mentioned to her that he had seen us there. He told her that I am a beast and that I probably lift more than him. It's probably not true but interesting to hear!
3. I was called "someone that works out a lot" by one of the gym employees. I have never been known for my physical fitness so this was particularly nice.
4. This one is scale related but not directly a scale victory. I've gone from a BMI of 39.6 (the verge of morbid obesity) to a BMI of 31 (almost, but not quite, completely out of the obesity range).
5. Two more workouts and I'll have made it 16 weeks straight without missing a gym visit. I go twice a day, Monday through Saturday and once on Sunday; truly shocking for me. I even won a gym t-shirt for being one of the most regular attendees! This was actually funny because they asked me what size t-shirt I wear and I had to tell them I didn't really know any more.
6. Last one - I was able to order clothes in a regular (not plus or queen or women's) size! Still an XL but I'm getting there.
Keep it up everyone - this is a really inspiring thread!

Bought these beautiful new pants this summer, I broke them the first day I wore them. My grandma sew them back together but they didn't fit me anymore, but this morning I tried them back on and I rock them!1

I went shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding in a month. I found one at Target, one of the more reliable stores for finding my size without breaking the bank. There was one XL left on the rack of a beautiful blue dress. I have historically always been a Target XXL, but figured what the heck, I've been losing so I may as well try it. The XL was too big, and I wound up buying a large! It has a fitted bodice, and isn't stretchy so it's especially shocking to me. I'm a L at Target. Who woulda thunk?4

Window shopping in a store, that i would never buy from before because all the clothes were too small. Saw a beautiful suede, fushia jacket!!! I fell in love with it, but knew it would never fit. When i started my weight loss journey i was in a 3x-4x. I decided to try this puppy on, what could it hurt, besides my pride! It fit!!!! OMG!!! It was only a size 14.It fit like a glove, like it was made just for me. It is so wonderful!!!5

I ran 6.01 miles yesterday. Never even thought I could run that far, nevermind actually doing it.

What a victory? Did you buy it?1 -
My first NSV! I just purchased pants one size SMALLER! I have only purchased bigger and bigger sizes for the last 5-6 years as I have continued gaining weight after have 2 babies and I truly thought I would never buy a smaller size again. I was stuffing myself into my skinny jeans at the start of all of this and now I just ordered a size down! I am ecstatic!1
